About the role
The VP Technology owns the club's technical infrastructure and digital presence. You will redesign and refresh the club's website every 2-3 weeks to keep it current, engaging, and aligned with upcoming events and programs. You will also manage day-to-day tech issues across the club's platforms, from matching tools to communication channels, and escalate to CUS IT for support when a problem arises. Along the way, you will look for ways to use technology to make the club more efficient and engaging.
Time Commitment
- 3-5 hours per week during regular program periods; 6-8 hours per week during peak periods (update of new events on the website e.g. for EMP Gala)

October 2026 — April 2027
Key Responsibilities
- Design and refresh the club website every 2-3 weeks, updating event pages, announcements, and featured content
- Manage day-to-day tech issues for members, tracking each one until it is resolved
- Act as the club's main contact with CUS IT, submitting requests and following up when outside help is needed
- Maintain the mentor-mentee matching system
- Administer communication channels (Slack, Discord, email lists) and manage accounts
- Keep a clear record of all platforms, accounts, and processes
Qualifications
- Proficiency in front-end development and familiarity in website deployment
- Experience in UX and UI design
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a willingness to learn new tools quickly
- Comfortable working with a university IT department and escalating issues clearly
- Familiarity with collaboration and automation tools (e.g., Google Drive, Slack)
- Clear communication with all members of the team
- Reliability, organization, and the ability to keep to a regular update schedule
