VP Finance

The VP Finance is responsible for consolidating and managing the Grad Night Service budget.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar software.
• Knowledge of AMS and CUS financial system and infrastructure is an asset.
• Previous budgeting and accounting experience is highly desirable.

Main Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Chair to prepare and manage the allocated budget.
• Serve as the primary point of contact with CUS Finance Commission.
• Manage financial duties including, but not limited to, reimbursements, invoices, and tracking expenditures.
• Work with the VP External to seek additional financial support and process monetary sponsorships.
• Participate in regular executive team meetings and contribute to decision-making.
• Other ad hoc tasks as needed to deliver one of the best experiences to the graduating class.

Anticipated Learning Outcomes

• Ability to plan and budget a large-scale event.
• Improved analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Enhanced project management skills through involvement in planning and executing the graduation night.

Time Commitment

Approximately 6 hours per week, with an increase to 10 hours during peak planning periods.
