VP External

The VP External is responsible for securing strategic sponsorships and coordinating fundraising initiatives.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in pitching.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
• Demonstrated experience in successfully securing sponsorships.
• Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the persistence to follow up on outreach.

Main Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary external representative of Sauder Grad Night to outside parties.
• Represent the organization professionally in all external communications.
• Secure sponsorships, both in-kind and monetary, to enhance Grad Night initiatives and foster long-term partnerships through ongoing communication.
• Develop a compelling sponsorship package tailored to businesses.
• Participate in regular executive team meetings and contribute to decision-making.
• Other ad hoc tasks as needed to deliver one of the best experiences to the graduating class.

Anticipated Learning Outcomes

• Expanded your professional network through interactions with diverse sponsors and community partners.
• Enhanced project management skills by playing a key role in organizing the Graduation Night.

Time Commitment

Approximately 6 hours per week, with an increase to 10 hours during peak planning periods.
