We are looking for an Entry Level 3D Drafter to join our Industrial Commercial Energy Team to to build and maintain precise 3D models for electrical substation projects in our Buford and Atlanta offices. Candidates must possess a high school diploma, and have zero to two years of related experience. Experience working in a 3D modeling environment and proficiency with any 3D modeling software such as Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, Revit, SketchUp, or Fusion 360 is preferred. Candidates must be able to interpret technical drawings and specifications, demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational skills, and communicate effectively while working collaboratively with engineers and designers. Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work well with others. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 30 days of employment.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain 3D substation models using Autodesk Inventor.
• Interpret 2D drawings and LiDAR/point cloud data to produce precise 3D geometry, supporting both new (greenfield) and existing (brownfield) substation designs.
• Partner with engineers to ensure models align with project scope, client standards, and constructability requirements
• Organize and maintain drawing files in accordance with Wade Trim CAD/drafting standards.
• Assist in preparing plan sheets, details, and visualizations to support design deliverables.
• Maintain a safe working environment.

Education:

• High school diploma required

Skills/Experience:

• 0 to 2 years of related experience required.
• Comfort working in a 3D modeling environment, with experience in any 3D modeling software (Inventor, SolidWorks, Revit, SketchUp, Fusion 360, etc.).
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with a commitment to accuracy.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor 3D preferred.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or Civil 3D preferred.
• Experience with LiDAR-based workflows or point cloud modeling (e.g., ReCap Pro) preferred.
• Prior exposure to electrical substation or broader utility infrastructure projects preferred.
