About the Role
This is a founding-team engineering role at a pre-seed AI fintech startup building automation tools for private-market operations. You will own technical delivery end-to-end, from initial discovery with asset servicer and asset manager teams through production launch of AI-driven fund accounting workflows. Your field insights will feed directly back into the core product roadmap.
What You'll Do
Manage the full project lifecycle for each customer engagement, from discovery through production deployment.
Work directly with customer operations teams to map existing workflows and identify adoption barriers.
Convert customer processes into AI-driven, automated workflows using the platform's agent and integration capabilities.
Build customer-tailored prototypes, iterating rapidly and adjusting scope based on real feedback.
Surface deployment learnings and translate them into actionable input for product planning.
Develop reusable components and standardized approaches from recurring implementation patterns.
What We're Looking For
1 to 6 years of production software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping customer-facing software end-to-end.
Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, with hands-on experience using NestJS, Postgres, Prisma, and React.
Comfortable working directly with customers to scope, prototype, and iterate on technical deliverables, forward-deployed or solutions engineering experience is a strong plus.
Genuine empathy for and ability to understand private-market or financial operations workflows.
Experience in private markets, fund accounting, or financial operations is a bonus.
Able to work in person from the Berlin office alongside the founding team.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: 70,000 to 110,000 EUR annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
On-site in Berlin, Germany. This role requires regular in-person collaboration with the founding team.
