Senior Accounting Manager

Zoox's accounting team plays a pivotal role in ensuring Zoox operates efficiently and sustainably by providing accurate financial management, compliance, and strategic insights.    We are looking for an Accounting Manager to play a crucial role in managing accounting processes and ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Working closely with the FP&A team to ensure accurate accruals and capitalization. This person is responsible for activities related to the general ledger, month-end close, and annual financial audit. The successful candidate will be dedicated, trustworthy, detail-oriented and customer-focused with excellent communication skills.    

In this role, you will:

• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information weekly
• Prepare monthly reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
• Assist team with annual audit and tax filings
• Conduct regular general ledger maintenance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to insure accuracy in accruals
• Continuously assess and improve accounting systems and processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar degree
• 8+ years of relevant work experience
• Possess a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls processes
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Positive attitude, team player and ability to quickly adapt to changes
• Excellent Excel skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Big four and/or public company accounting experience
• SAP, Ariba, Oracle
