Position Summary:
Zeeco is seeking an experienced Senior Estimation Engineer with 10 to 15+ years of experience in preparing techno-commercial estimates for industrial burner systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of combustion equipment, burner management systems, instrumentation, mechanical equipment, and project costing.
The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing customer enquiries, interpreting technical specifications, coordinating with engineering and procurement teams, obtaining vendor quotations, developing accurate cost estimates, and preparing competitive technical and commercial proposals for global projects.
Candidates with either a Mechanical Engineering or Instrumentation & Control Engineering background and extensive experience in industrial combustion equipment are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review customer RFQs, ITBs, specifications, datasheets, PFDs, P&IDs, burner schedules, and other project documents.
- Evaluate process requirements, fuel characteristics, combustion duty, control philosophy, emissions, and applicable design standards.
- Identify technical clarifications, scope gaps, deviations, and commercial risks before proposal submission.
- Prepare accurate techno-commercial estimates for industrial burner packages.
- Develop Bills of Materials (BOM) covering burners, fuel trains, BMS/CCS, PLC/HMI, instrumentation, valves, electrical, mechanical, and bought-out items.
- Estimate engineering, fabrication, assembly, testing, logistics, commissioning, and documentation costs.
- Obtain and evaluate vendor quotations for technical compliance, pricing, and delivery.
- Coordinate with procurement to optimize vendor selection and project costing.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, including cost sheets, assumptions, exclusions, and deviations.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Process, Electrical, Instrumentation, Procurement, and Manufacturing teams to validate technical and commercial inputs.
- Review engineering deliverables such as P&IDs, GA drawings, wiring diagrams, and instrument schedules to support accurate estimation.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-effective technical solutions while ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
- Support customer clarification meetings, bid evaluations, negotiations, and project handover following order award.
- Maintain estimation databases, standard costing, historical pricing, and vendor cost records to improve estimation accuracy and proposal competitiveness.

Technical Expertise:
- Process, Boiler, Power, and Duct Burners
- Low NOx, Ultra Low NOx, Gas, Oil, Dual-Fuel, and Multi-Fuel Burners
- Burner sizing, fuel selection, combustion principles, and emissions requirements
- Fuel gas and liquid fuel trains
- Pressure regulators, safety shut-off valves, control valves, vent valves, filters, and strainers
- Burners, dampers, registers, skid-mounted systems, piping, and fabricated assemblies
- Burner Management Systems (BMS) and Combustion Control Systems (CCS)

- Flame scanners, ignition systems, pressure, temperature, and flow instrumentation

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Instrumentation & Control Engineering.
- 10–15 years of experience in estimation, proposal engineering, or applications engineering for industrial combustion systems.
- Experience working with burner OEMs, combustion equipment manufacturers, EPC companies, or industrial heating solution providers.
