About the role
Xometry (NASDAQ: XMTR) powers the industries of today and tomorrow by connecting the people with big ideas to the manufacturers who can bring them to life. Xometry’s digital marketplace gives manufacturers the critical resources they need to grow their business while also making it easy for buyers at Fortune 1000 companies to tap into global manufacturing capacity.
Data Analyst is embedded in the Sales Operations function within the Sales/Marketing business domain, covering commission design, territory planning, and revenue and incentive analytics.
You will deliver analyses, experiments, and dashboards that drive measurable outcomes, working end-to-end: clarifying the problem, shaping metrics, partnering with DWH, and building usable tools, leveraging AI/LLM tools to move faster and supporting adoption.
The scope of the role is cross-regional.
Tech Stack:
- Analytics/DWH: SQL, Python, Snowflake, Airflow, Looker, Amplitude, Google Analytics, Google Sheets, DataHub, Git
- Application Platform: PostgreSQL, Ruby, Salesforce
- Project/Process Management: JIRA, Miro, Figma
- AI Tooling: Claude/ChatGPT for analysis and reasoning, Cursor/GitHub Copilot (or equivalent) for AI-assisted coding, and prompt engineering for data workflows
How You’ll Contribute:
- Analytics & Experimentation:
- Partner with stakeholders to define the problem, success metrics, and hypotheses; propose experiments and measure impact
- Follow our required ways of working: start with “why,” simplify, and treat analytics as a product
- Dashboards & Data Quality:
- Build and maintain dashboards in Looker; ensure correctness of data, clarity, usability, and decision support
- Specify data needs, validate data quality, and collaborate with DWH on marts and metrics
- Investigate data discrepancies end-to-end across ERP/application systems, source data, DWH, reporting layers, and BI dashboards
- Sales Strategy & Territory Planning:
- Cluster product/account options to maximize revenue and margin and guide go-to-market prioritization
- Design account-tiering logic (T1–T4 and similar), define coverage models, and simulate optimal territory and staffing scenarios
- Design and simulate strategies to route leads and accounts to reps under multiple constraints, such as capacity, tenure, and segment fit
- Commission, Performance & Forecasting:
- Model commission plans, quota attainment curves, and payout logic; validate data feeding incentive calculations
- Track pipeline and funnel KPIs, conversion rates, quota attainment, and rep/team performance trends, and recommend actions
- Design and develop systems to forecast month, quarter, and year sales outcomes; automate root-cause analysis of forecast fluctuations and improve forecast quality
What You’ll Bring to Xometry:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience: 3+ years in analytics or data science, ideally within B2B/B2C marketplaces
- Technical Skills: Strong SQL and Python; dashboarding experience (Looker, Tableau, Qlik, or similar); familiarity with Git, JIRA, Confluence, or equivalents
- Quantitative Skills: Solid foundations in probability and statistics; hands-on experience with statistical analysis and experimentation (hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, power analysis/A-B testing), regression, and time-series analysis
- AI-Native: Daily hands-on use of AI coding assistants (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar) and LLMs for analysis, automation, and prototyping, with sound judgment on when to trust versus verify AI output
- Nice to Have: Applied ML exposure (supervised/unsupervised learning, feature engineering, model evaluation and cross-validation) and understanding of DWH concepts (design, data structures, ETL/ELT)
- Soft Skills: Strong business sense, clear communication, structured thinking, attention to data quality, and the ability to decompose ambiguous asks into deliverables
- Curiosity: A track record of self-directed development in adjacent disciplines such as entrepreneurship, business administration, product, UX, machine learning, or human behavior and psychology is a strong plus
- Languages: Fluent English is required; Russian is a plus
Work conditions:
- Full-time job, remote in the beginning (hybrid format — following the opening of a physical office in Sofia)
- Employment contract
- Work laptop
- Corporate English lessons
- Team spirit and friendly atmosphere: we work in an open, friendly and trusting environment that welcomes initiative. In the Xometry team, everyone is ready to help and support in difficult times, and we always celebrate victories together and appreciate the contribution of everyone.
- Development opportunities: we are a fast growing company, each new task is an interesting challenge for the team.
- We care: ongoing free of charge well-being activities for our people, charity projects worldwide.
- Flexibility: speed and flexibility are some of our advantages, allowing us to achieve amazing results. We have flexible processes and planning, we can respond to rapidly changing conditions and remain effective in the face of uncertainty.
- Onboarding: Well structured onboarding plan for new employees combining all in one process, technology, and systems components.
