About the Role

As an Operations Manager in Paris, you'll be a senior member of the France Operations team, reporting to the General Manager, France. You'll own the day-to-day health of the market — acquiring, retaining, and driving quality among our best-in-class chauffeurs — and help evolve the local operating model as we scale beyond Paris.

This is an entrepreneurial, high-ownership role in a fast-moving environment, not a caretaker seat.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operational execution: chauffeur supply growth and retention.
• Evolve the local operating model, turning global strategy and standards into effective execution on the ground.
• Use data to spot operational risks and opportunities, and design initiatives with clear, measurable impact.
• Lead and grow Wheely Paris's operations team, building a culture of high performance and engagement.
• Partner with product teams to shape feature development and improve operational tooling.
• Support readiness as the market expands into new areas, launching business from scratch.
• Act as a senior point of contact for chauffeurs and key external stakeholders, representing Wheely's standards.
• Ensure compliance with applicable French regulations and VTC licensing requirements.

Requirements

• No single background defines success here — we want analytically strong, entrepreneurial operators motivated by ownership and comfortable being accountable for outcomes in open-ended environments.
• 1-3+ years building, growing, or scaling something meaningful with limited structure, with the ability to move fast from analysis to execution.
• Relevant backgrounds include:
  • scaling operations in a fast-paced tech environment (VC-backed business, scale-up, startup);
  • top-tier management consulting, investment banking,
  • or VC/PE; early or founding-team experience at a consumer or marketplace startup.
• Bonus points:
  • experience in a marketplace/platform business (on-demand, mobility, location-based);
  • track record building teams or operating models from scratch or through rapid expansion;
  • MBA or advanced degree in business, operations, analytics, or strategy.
• Fluent French and English.
• Based in Paris, ability to work in the office 5 days a week.
