About the Role

We are looking for experienced Mongolian (Mongolia) linguists to act as the Language Lead of a leading social media platform to support on their content for different areas of expertise like Marketing, Support, Product and Online Help. The work involves different tasks like translation, copy editing, linguistic review and coordination among others of the content localized from English into Mongolian.

This is a freelance engagement with a daily 1 or 2 hours of work, with production expected to start end of September

Key Responsibilities

• Ocasionally perform translation, copy editing, quality control review, MTPE, linguistic review or transcription on the same areas of expertise as above
• Conduct Linguistic Quality Assurance of other linguists working on the account
• Capable of working within Client Platforms and tools (CAT tools will be provided)
• Meet agreed turnaround times and quality standards for daily deliveries (expected On Time Delivery, is 99%)
• Standard workflow is MPTE, paid hourly

Requirements

• Native or near-native fluency in Mongolian (Mongolia), with strong command of English
• Professional experience in Marketing, Support, Product and Online Help translation/localization
• Experience working with CAT tools
• Undergo client and Welocalize mandatory trainings (could take 1 to 2 months)
• Be able to work autonomously and with efficiency

Tools & Systems

• CAT tool: client provided CAT tools
• Mandatory: to be able to work on the project, the client will need to run some background checks
