Position Description:
We are looking for a Natural Gas Engineer to join our ICE Team to improve infrastructure in our Southern offices. The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, and two to six years of similar work experience with natural gas and other utilities is preferred. The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 30 days of employment

Typical responsibilities include:
- Design various natural gas projects including distribution mains, transmission pipelines, metering & regulating facilities as well as launcher/receiver assemblies.
- Perform civil site design, trenchless installation design, utility conflict analysis, and traffic control plan design.
- Prepare design reports and construction plans using client, local, state, or other applicable standards.
- Coordinate preparation of specifications and permit submittals.
- Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities.
- Document design changes and communications.
- Conduct on-site observations as needed.
- Prepare project status and other reports.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals.
- Assist Project Managers as needed.
- Attend client, public, project, and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, preconstruction, etc.
- Attend seminars and/or training classes.
- Maintain excellent client relations.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering required
Skills/Experience:
- 2-6 years of Natural Gas experience is required.
- Experience with AutoDesk Civil 3D is required.
- Engineer-in-Training License/Professional Engineer License is preferred.
- Experience with Engineering based programs (GasCalc, Pipeline Toolbox, BoreAid, and other similar engineering software) is preferred.
