About the role
The Associate, Real-Time Systems supports the design, configuration, operation, and troubleshooting of Real-Time Systems that power NFL Media digital graphics experiences, including FAST channels, NFL+, RedZone, and other digital productions. This role serves as a technical resource for Viz graphics workflows, ticker systems, L-Bar applications, data integrations, and real-time content delivery while helping ensure reliable operation of critical production systems.
Responsibilities
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Viz graphics systems, render engines, ticker systems, L-Bar applications, and supporting software environments to ensure reliable delivery of graphics across FAST, digital, and RedZone platforms.
- Support end-to-end graphics workflows including data-driven Viz graphics, scorebars, ticker content, promotional elements, sponsorship integrations, countdown clocks, and lower-third graphic packages to ensure accurate on-air and digital presentation.
- Maintain RTS applications, databases, APIs, and automated page generation tools while validating data flow between internal services, graphics systems, and production environments.
- Serve as a frontline technical resource during live productions by diagnosing and resolving graphics, connectivity, software, and data issues to minimize operational disruptions.
- Partner with production, engineering, and operations teams to support FAST channel graphics, RedZone L-Bar workflows, ticker content management, and digital platform graphics delivery.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, workflow guides, system inventories, and operational procedures while identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation.
- Assist with preparation, testing, deployment, and operational support for major league events including the NFL Draft, NFL Combine, International Games, Kickoff, Playoffs, and Super Bowl coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Digital Media, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience supporting broadcast graphics, digital media operations, production technology, or real-time systems.
- Experience supporting Vizrt, graphics rendering systems, or similar real-time graphics platforms.
- Working knowledge of networking, Windows administration, system configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with data-driven graphics, APIs, databases, and content automation workflows.
- Experience supporting live production, digital streaming, or broadcast operations.
- Ability to work independently in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting FAST channels, OTT streaming platforms, or sports media operations.
- Experience with Viz Trio, Viz Engine, ticker systems, or graphics automation workflows.
- Familiarity with SQL databases and scripting/automation tools.
- Experience supporting major live sporting events.

Terms / Expected Hours of Work
- Flexible schedule required.
- Evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday work may be required during live productions and major events.
- Overtime may be required based on production schedules.
- This job posting is for a position with one of the NFL’s third-party agency partners that provides services to the NFL. The individual selected for this role will be an employee of that third-party agency and not the NFL. All compensation, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment are handled by the agency. The assignment to provide services to the NFL will be limited in duration but may be extended for an additional period by agreement between the NFL and the agency.
