About the role

Main Responsibilities
-
Promote CC events and initiatives to first-year Sauder students.

Provide insight into the interests, needs, and perspectives of the first-year community.

Support the planning and execution of CC events and initiatives across different portfolios.

Build relationships with first-year students and help increase awareness of CC within the first-year community.
-
Attend weekly meetings and support team members as required.
Qualifications
-
Must be a first-year UBC Sauder student for the 2026/27 academic year.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Enthusiastic about becoming involved in the Sauder and CUS community.
-
Willingness to learn, take initiative, and contribute new ideas.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team
Anticipated Learning Outcomes

Gain exposure to event planning, marketing, external relations, and philanthropy.

Develop leadership, teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.

Gain experience working within a CUS club and collaborating across different portfolios.

Build connections within the Sauder and CUS community.

Develop a stronger understanding of Commerce Community and student leadership opportunities.
