About the opportunity
Teads is looking for a Technical Solutions Engineer to join our team in Canada. This is a second-tier role: you'll take on the platform-level technical issues escalated from first-tier support, investigate them end to end, and work alongside the people building recommendation technology for the open web.
You will be the go-to technical support person, owning a broad set of issues from campaign troubleshooting to integrations and escalations. You will partner cross-functionally with key stakeholders across R&D, AdOps, Account Management, and Product to drive client success. Based in Canada and operating during North American business hours, this role complements our global support center in Slovenia to extend our support coverage across time zones.
What will you do:
- Own second-tier technical cases end to end, keeping them prioritized and within SLA.
- Investigate issues escalated by first-tier support and AdOps, and drive them to resolution.
- Partner with account managers to support accounts for large, well-known brands.
- Run calls with clients to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Handle reports coming in through Slack, Salesforce, email, and other channels promptly.
- Verify that campaigns, pixels, and creatives are set up correctly.
- Pull data from our databases, analyze it, and turn it into clear insights and solutions for marketers.
- Document known issues, workarounds, and escalation paths for the wider team.
- Collaborate across teams to surface ideas that improve our products.
What will you bring to the team?
- Experience in a technical support or technical solutions role, ideally in ad tech, with a track record of resolving customer-facing technical issues.
- Systematic, hypothesis-driven troubleshooter who knows when to dig in and when to escalate.
- Clear communicator who works well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, and can de-escalate frustrated clients.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple priorities.
- Solid grasp of how the web works, for example JavaScript, HTML, HTTP, iframes, cookies, the DOM, etc
- Working knowledge of SQL for analytical queries (joins, aggregations, CTEs).
- Scripting skills in JavaScript, Python, or similar to automate manual work.
- Comfortable with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets).
- Proficient with a text editor (VS Code, Sublime, Vim, or similar).
- Basic Git and command line.
- Fluent in English; other languages could be a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior ad tech experience.
- Chrome DevTools for debugging.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and Jira.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, or similar tools.
- Comfortable working with APIs and REST clients like Postman or Insomnia.
- Hands-on use of AI tools such as Claude (Claude Code or Cowork), Gemini, and similar to speed up troubleshooting, analysis, and automation.
- Experience with automation tools like n8n or Workato.
If you're a self-driven learner who enjoys digging into complex technical problems, we'd love to hear from you, even if you don't tick every box. If you're curious, eager to learn, and interested in the work, we encourage you to apply.
Please submit your CV in English.
The pay range for this position is USD $70,000 to $80,000 annually including on target earnings.
