TEAM AND ROLE

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Trade Support Operations Specialist to join our Trade Operations team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will support the accurate execution of environmental commodity transactions, manage registry activities, and work closely with Trading, Finance, Risk, Compliance and Contract teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations. As part of a collaborative international team, you will take ownership of key processes, contribute to continuous improvements, and gain exposure to environmental markets across Europe and beyond. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support trading desks by providing end-to-end operational support and serving as a key contact for stakeholders.
• Verify trade bookings and transaction details to ensure accuracy and compliance with deal confirmations.
• Manage environmental commodity transactions, including certificate transfers and redemptions across international registries.
• Maintain inventory positions, monitor expiring volumes, and mitigate operational and financial risks through accurate reporting.
• Collaborate with Trading, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Operations teams while driving process improvements, automation, and operational efficiency. 

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Business, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• 1-3 years of experience in trade support, operations, or a similar role within a trading or financial markets environment.
• Strong understanding of commodity trading or financial markets, with advanced Excel skills; VBA and Power Query are a plus.
• Excellent English communication skills (Spanish is an advantage), with strong stakeholder management abilities.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive team player with a solution-focused mindset.
• Based in, or willing to relocate to Amsterdam.
