About the role
Who We’re Looking For (Position Overview): How would you like your program management work to land in front of a Marine Corps portfolio's leadership every week? This is the core analyst role on the PM MAGTF C2 program office support team — you will research acquisition strategy, build and maintain program documentation, and keep configuration control on the portfolio SharePoint site. You will work across six Agile Release Trains, which means unusually broad exposure for a journeyman-level analyst. We hire people who want the next certification and the next level of responsibility, and we staff accordingly.
What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities):
-
Conduct acquisition strategy research and analysis; draft, revise, and update documents for the MAGTF C2 programs.
-
Create, update, and track acquisition and program documentation including program briefs, organizational charts, and staffing spreadsheets.
-
Maintain configuration control on the PM MAGTF C2 SharePoint site.
-
Provide technical editing — review documents for grammar, spelling, and technical content against DoD, Navy, and Marine Corps policy, and recommend changes.
-
Support Project Officers and Program Analysts on day-to-day tasks: funding obligation, spend plan management, and Integrated Program Management Plans.
What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements):
-
Demonstrated history of delivering acquisition and program management analysis for DoD programs — 8 years' relevant experience per the Staffing Matrix.
-
Bachelor's degree.
-
Active DoD Secret clearance with ADP-II/IT-2 (T-3) eligibility.
-
Strong drafting and technical editing ability in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ideally, You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):
-
Defense Acquisition Workforce (Program Management, Advanced) and/or PMP certification — called out in PWS C.4.3.3.1 for this task.
-
Experience maintaining a program SharePoint site as the system of record.
-
Familiarity with SAFe ceremonies (PI planning, system demos) and JIRA.
-
Self-starter who asks for the messy document nobody else wants to own.
