About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Accountant to play a central role in our monthly close process and general ledger accounting. You'll report to the Manager, Accounting and work closely with the broader accounting, tax, and finance operations teams. Our company reports under IFRS with multiple legal entities, and our hardware-enabled SaaS model means you'll get exposure to both a wide variety of accounting areas.
What You’ll Do
Prepare and post journal entries for the monthly close, including accruals, prepaids, and revenue/COGS entries
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
Support consolidation of financials, including intercompany transactions and FX considerations
Maintain fixed asset schedules and related depreciation entries
Support preparation of audit schedules and respond to auditor requests
Assist with the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
Identify opportunities to improve or automate manual close processes
Partner with Finance Operations (P2P/O2C) to ensure accurate cutoff and proper recording of transactions
Support ad hoc analysis and special projects as requested by the Manager, Accounting
What You Bring
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
2-4 years of accounting experience, ideally including month-end close responsibilities
CPA/CA completed or in progress
Working knowledge of IFRS or a strong foundation in GAAP with a willingness to learn IFRS-specific nuances
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and strong Excel skills
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage close deadlines
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working across teams
Preferred Experience
Comfortable using AI tools to support reconciliation, variance analysis, and documentation — no prior experience required, but curiosity to learn is a plusExposure to multi-entity or multi-currency accounting
Experience in a SaaS, hardware, or hybrid hardware/software business
Experience supporting external audits
Security Requirements
Candidates must undergo a criminal records check upon hire;
Be a Canadian Citizen (dual citizens included), or eligible to work in Canada;
Be willing to comply with Solink’s own security policies and standards.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $85,000 - $110,000CAD.
We determine compensation based on the experience, skills, and impact you bring to the role.
Candidates in this range will demonstrate P3 level competencies.
