We are seeking a reliable and skilled Part-Time General Maintenance Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of facility systems and equipment at a federally contracted ICE residential facility located in Alexandria, Louisiana. The ideal candidate will possess experience in general building maintenance, basic repairs, and preventive maintenance while maintaining compliance with all safety and operational standards.

● Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
● Must show proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.

Qualifications:
- • High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of facility maintenance, building maintenance, or related experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand work orders, maintenance manuals, and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Responsibilities:
- • Perform routine maintenance and repair of facility systems, equipment, and structures.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and identify potential maintenance concerns.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical, plumbing, and electrical issues.
• Maintain facility grounds and common areas as assigned.
• Replace light fixtures, ceiling tiles, door hardware, and other building components as needed.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations.
• Ensure compliance with facility safety standards, federal requirements, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Coordinate with facility management regarding repair needs and project priorities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
