About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Credit Investigator to support our credit decision-making process through thorough financial and background assessments. In this role, you will analyze financial data, verify credit histories, and identify potential risks, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure sound and timely credit decisions.
This position is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, high integrity, and a keen eye for detail in a fast-paced financial environment.
Key responsibilities
Perform comprehensive credit investigations on people and/or companies.
Examine financial records, including bank statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
Check credit histories with banks, bureaus, and other references.
Prepares credit investigation reports that provide a summary of the risk assessment.
Work together with other departments to complete credit decisions.
Keep an eye on client accounts to spot and report any abnormalities or defaults in payments.
Keep up-to-date records and paperwork in accordance with data privacy laws.
Respond to consumer questions about the progress of their credit application or credit score based on findings, suggest credit limitations, terms of payment, or credit holds.
Keep abreast of pertinent credit trends, reporting procedures, and financial rules.
Requirements and expectations
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Criminology, or related field
At least 1–2 years of experience in credit underwriting, moto loans verification, or loan processing
Strong analytical and investigative skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
High sense of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
