As our APAC business continues to grow, we're looking for a Solution Consultant based in Tokyo to join our regional consulting team and help deliver RELEX implementations for some of Japan's most iconic retailers and wholesalers — with the backing of a genuinely supportive, international team behind you.

The Role

As a Solution Consultant, you'll manage software implementation projects through the full project lifecycle in the field of retail supply chain planning. Working within a project team alongside Business Consultants and Technical Consultants, you'll design and build RELEX solutions for our customers — from solution design through configuration, testing, and data-driven validation of system outputs. You'll combine hands-on system configuration with strong business context, ensuring the solutions you build deliver the customer's expected business benefits.

This is a great fit for someone who enjoys working close to the system, likes solving concrete data and logic problems, and wants to do so in a customer-facing, business-connected role.

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing and building business logic in RELEX Plan (forecasting, replenishment, allocation, and related F&R modules) using Business Rules and TQL
• Scoping and designing solutions that address the customer's true requirements while guiding them toward RELEX best practices
• Optimizing model outputs, such as forecast accuracy and replenishment performance, based on data-driven analysis
• Planning and executing testing (unit, functional, and validation) to ensure configuration meets business and quality expectations
• Owning the configuration plan for your workstreams: providing effort estimates, tracking progress, and flagging risks early
• Leading and contributing to business logic workshops in both Japanese and English, and presenting findings and solution designs to customers at operational and management level
• Producing clear configuration and solution documentation for customers and internal stakeholders
• Collaborating closely with Business Consultants and Technical Consultants, and liaising with RELEX's central best-practice and Product teams to keep implementations aligned with product direction
• Supporting the onboarding of RELEX implementation partners
• Continuously building your product, industry, and consulting skills through training and hands-on project work

What You'll Bring to the Table

• Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English
• A technical or analytical degree (e.g., engineering, mathematics, computer science, supply chain) or equivalent experience in a supply chain or retail planning environment
• Strong analytical skills and a genuine interest in working with data, systems, and business logic
• Ability to understand and work through large datasets and complex system configurations
• Initiative, sound prioritization, and the ability to work autonomously once ramped up
• Strong communication skills, comfortable presenting to both technical and business audiences
• A genuinely independent, experimental mindset: comfortable using AI and other modern tools to work smarter, test new approaches, and figure things out rather than waiting to be shown

What We Consider a Strong Plus

• Experience with forecasting and replenishment or planning software (RELEX, Blue Yonder, SAP, Oracle RPAS, or similar)
• Prior experience in retail, wholesale supply chain / merchandising
• Familiarity with SQL, TQL, or other query/programming languages
• Experience running workshops or delivering training to customer teams
• Experience in project leadership or mentoring junior consultants.
