Position Overview
We are looking for a Manufacturing Project Coordinator to help manage customer orders through the manufacturing and shipping process. This position supports high-volume configure-to-order (CTO) and quick-ship programs and works closely with production, supply chain, engineering, quality, and logistics teams.
The coordinator will monitor order progress, maintain accurate information, identify potential delays, and help keep projects moving according to schedule.
What You’ll Do
- Follow CTO and quick-ship orders from initial entry through shipment and final closeout.
- Review sales orders to confirm configurations, requirements, and other information are complete and accurate.
- Monitor key milestones such as material availability, production progress, testing, and shipment.
- Keep order and project information current in ERP and project management systems.
- Communicate regularly with production, supply chain, quality, and shipping teams regarding order status.
- Provide customers with timely updates and communicate changes to expected delivery schedules.
- Identify orders at risk of delay and escalate issues early to minimize delivery impacts.
- Coordinate shipping activities, required documentation, logistics, and customer-specific requirements.
- Prepare project status updates and reports for internal teams and customers.
- Assist with improvements to order tracking, scheduling, and project coordination processes.
- Help resolve order-related issues and ensure appropriate follow-through through completion.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in project coordination, order management, customer service, inside sales support, or operations within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience working with ERP systems and project tracking tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate data.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and reliable follow-through.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in electrical, industrial, or electromechanical manufacturing.
- Familiarity with configure-to-order (CTO) or make-to-order manufacturing.
- Exposure to power distribution products or industrial equipment.
- Experience coordinating manufactured-product shipments and logistics.
- CAPM certification or interest in pursuing a project management certification.
