About the role
PURVIS Systems has an opening for a SCADA Field Service Technician. We are looking for a tech-minded individual to be responsible for providing installation, technical maintenance and repair of video surveillance systems (cameras and peripherals) and access control systems (card readers, intercoms and peripherals). The SCADA Field Service Technician is part of a team that provides critical operations and reports to various work sites throughout New York City.
The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:
- Installation, repair and maintenance of all aspects of video surveillance and access control systems and peripherals.
- Must be able to troubleshoot video surveillance and access control systems to the device level.
- Install and configure new software and/or hardware as required.
- Travel through the New York City boroughs to install, repair and maintain equipment at various locations.
- Must be able to use various hand tools and equipment for installation and repair such multimeter, drill etc.
- Must be able to run various types of cabling.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years work-related experience.
- Must be familiar with all aspects of camerasdesktop .
- Knowledge of simple networking and network cabling; and operating systems (Windows 10/11, etc.).
- Valid drivers license.
- Able to use various hand tools and electronic test equipment.
- Some heaving lifting from time-to-time is required.
- Position requires climbing and using all types of ladders.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- No sponsorship is available.
