About the Role
Ensure Nubank’s sustainable growth by maintaining rigorous compliance with financial secrecy regulations and authority requirements in Mexico. In this role, you will be a key operator within our Judicial Orders & Regulatory Attention team, acting as the primary bridge for official communications from the CNBV (Comisión Nacional Bancaria y de Valores), fiscal, administrative, and judicial authorities.
You will play a pivotal role in managing end-to-end operational workflows via the SITI AA portal, ensuring 100% compliance with statutory deadlines for information requests, account freezing/unfreezing (aseguramiento y desbloqueo de cuentas), fund transfers, and the enforcement of the Blocked Person List (Lista de Personas Bloqueadas).
You’ll be Responsible for
SITI AA Management: Daily monitoring, control, and end-to-end execution of digital requirements received through CNBV’s SITI AA portal (Atención a Autoridades), ensuring zero regulatory gaps or SLA breaches.
Authority Enquiries & Judicial Orders: Analyzing, processing, and responding to official subpoenas, information requests, and documentation requirements from CNBV, SAT, FGR, and competent judicial/administrative authorities.
Account Asset Orders: Executing regulatory actions regarding account freezing (aseguramiento), unfreezing (desbloqueo), and asset transfers in accordance with Mexican banking laws and CNBV mandates.
Blocked Person List (LPB): Actively supporting operational routines and monitoring workflows related to Mexico’s Lista de Personas Bloqueadas (LPB), ensuring immediate compliance upon update releases.
Regulatory Governance & SLA Control: Managing operational queues, tracking SLAs, and updating BI dashboards (Looker/Sheets) to guarantee timely execution and full auditability of all authority requests.
Continuous Process Improvement: Partnering with Legal, Compliance, and Tech teams to automate SITI AA routines, refine operational controls, and adapt workflows to regulatory updates (CNBV / SOFIPO framework).
Audit & Archiving Readiness: Documenting decisions, responses, and execution proofs to maintain traceable audit trails for regulatory inspections and internal reviews.
What We’re Looking For
Direct Experience with SITI AA: Proven hands-on experience managing and executing requirements via CNBV’s SITI AA system in the Mexican financial sector (Banking, SOFIPOs, or Fintechs).
Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of financial secrecy laws (secreto bancario/financiero), CNBV regulations, and legal procedures for judicial orders and account freezing/unfreezing.
Analytical & Detail-Oriented Mindset: Exceptional precision in handling sensitive customer data, legal documents, and official authority templates under tight, non-negotiable regulatory deadlines.
Process Discipline: Comfort with high-volume operational workflows, maintaining high accuracy and compliance even within bureaucratic and structured regulatory frameworks.
Data & BI Literacy: Familiarity with queue management and data visualization tools (Excel, Google Sheets, Looker) to monitor performance and tracking metrics.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills in Spanish (required for official authority responses) and English/Portuguese (for internal stakeholders).
Nice to Have
Degree in Law, Legal Studies, Business Administration, or related fields.
Prior experience in Compliance, AML/PLD, or Regulatory Legal Operations within a regulated financial institution.
Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, or database querying to optimize reporting and operational audits.
Familiarity with broader AML frameworks, customer onboarding restrictions, and CNBV audit procedures.
Our recruitment process may involve the use of artificial intelligence–enabled tools, such as automated interview transcription and analysis, to support the evaluation process. Artificial intelligence is not used to make final hiring decisions; all decisions are made by human reviewers.
To maintain a consistent and fair process for every candidate, Nu does not provide individualized technical feedback. See how our policy works here
