The Technology Consulting business line is the technology and operations arm of the Novaspace group. It works with more than 50 customers across developed and emerging space markets, in all regions of the world and across the space ecosystem, including satellite operators, governmental and international organizations, financial institutions, insurance companies and other space stakeholders.

Within the Space Advanced Concepts team, you will explore how evolving customer needs, market developments and emerging technologies can translate into new technical capabilities and opportunities.

The role is primarily technology-oriented, while requiring an ability to understand market dynamics, customer needs and the applications that space technologies can enable.

Primary Role And Responsibilities

• Support technology and advanced concept studies, including technology assessments, state-of-the-art analyses and emerging technology reviews.
• Analyse customer needs, market developments and technology trends to identify new capabilities and opportunities for clients.
• Research and assess emerging technologies, their potential applications, maturity and relevance to identified market needs.
• Explore connections between different markets, technologies and space domains and formulate topics for deeper technical investigation.
• Contribute to client presentations, reports, proposals and innovation recommendations, working with senior consultants and technical experts.

Who We Are Looking For

• You have an engineering, science or technical background, preferably in space, aerospace, systems, telecommunications, electronics, software or a related field. Profiles from business or political science schools with a demonstrated technical experience or strong interest in technology are also welcome.
• You are curious about space technologies and systems and enjoy understanding how they work, evolve and could be applied to new use cases. You are interested in space markets and customer needs and can connect them with technical capabilities and emerging technologies.
• You have good analytical and synthesis skills and can turn complex information into clear and compelling presentations and recommendations.
You are curious, proactive and eager to learn, with the ability to work across different space domains and with both business and technical stakeholders

Desired Skills & Experience

• MSc or equivalent degree in engineering, aerospace, space systems, telecommunications, electronics, computer science, physics or another relevant technical discipline. Candidates with other academic backgrounds and relevant technical experience or exposure to technology are also welcome.
• Up to 3 years of experience, preferably in strategy consulting, technology consulting, market analysis, innovation, business development or the space sector.
• Technical knowledge of at least one area of the space ecosystem, such as SATCOM, EO, PNT, spacecraft systems, ground systems, software, data or space infrastructure.
• Genuine interest in emerging space technologies and their applications, with the ability to understand technical concepts and discuss their implications.
• Good analytical, communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Ability to travel internationally.
• EU citizen or permanent EU residence/work permit.
