About Aedeon

Aedeon is the agent platform for enterprise modernization, built by Aedeon Inc., a separate product company founded by the same team that founded Mactores. Aedeon turns the systems already running a business applications, databases, data platforms, business rules, workflows into governed AI agents, grounded in a persistent Code Intelligence Graph of the customer's own code and verified through behavior-equivalence proof. Aedeon is delivered as a product, not a services engagement, and runs without mandatory forward-deployed engineers. 

Role at a glance 
You'll join the team building Aedeon. This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role,  not a management or lead position,  for someone who wants to stay close to the code and the infrastructure. You'll work across our Python services and the Kubernetes infrastructure they run on, and you'll take real ownership of how Aedeon ships: release calendar, deployment coordination, and being there when production needs you.

What you'll do?

• Design, build, and maintain backend services in Python (FastAPI) powering Aedeon.
• Design and expose clean, well-documented REST APIs for frontend consumption.
• Own the release cycle end-to-end, release calendar, versioning, and coordinating deployments across staging and production.
• Manage and evolve Kubernetes deployments, including writing and maintaining Helm charts.
• Understand CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, even without having built a lot of them.
• Work with AWS infrastructure supporting Aedeon's services.
• Monitor production health via CloudWatch and take part in on-call/incident response when things break.
• Work with PostgreSQL, including query optimization.
• Build and maintain durable workflows using Temporal for long-running or fault-tolerant processes.
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers on API design and contracts,  you won't own frontend code, but you'll understand how it consumes your services.

What we're looking for?

• 4 to 6 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Python skills, ideally with FastAPI (Django/Flask experience also considered).
• Solid, hands-on production experience with Kubernetes  deployments, services, config, debugging, and performance & cost improvements.
• Experience writing and maintaining Helm charts.
• Working knowledge of AWS services.
• Comfortable designing REST APIs with frontend consumers in mind.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.
• A genuine ownership mindset, comfortable being accountable for a release going out clean and on time.
• Docker and general containerization fundamentals.
• Strong collaborator, comfortable working closely with the frontend team to align on API contracts and integration needs.
• Working knowledge of RabbitMQ (or similar message queuing systems).
• Experience with Temporal (temporal.io) or a similar durable workflow orchestration engine,  you'll be defining and running long-running, fault-tolerant workflows, not just calling APIs directly.

You'll be preferred if you

• Have experience with CloudWatch or similar observability/monitoring tools
• Have exposure to Terraform or other infra-as-code tools
• Have experience with additional message queues (e.g., SQS, Kafka)
• Have experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions a plus)
