About the role
TL;DR:
You'll own how Lovable sources and negotiates the vendor relationships that power the product: deals taken end-to-end from "an engineer needs this" to a signed contract, the economics modelled properly, and the process and data left better each time. Procurement judgement first, tooling second — we'll help you with the second part.
Why Lovable?
Lovable is the software creation platform that gives people the power to act on the problems closest to them. For decades, turning an idea into software required so much capital, technical fluency, and time that many ideas never came to life. Lovable is the counterargument: a platform for all people with ideas, ambition, and problems worth solving. From solopreneurs to small business owners to teams at companies like Adidas and Zendesk, people have built over 60 million projects on Lovable since its launch in November 2024. And we’re just getting started.
We’re building a generational company from Stockholm, with growing teams in London, Boston, New York, and San Francisco. Our team is small, talent-dense, and moving quickly, with a culture rooted in extreme ownership, high velocity, and low-ego collaboration. We look for people who care deeply, ship fast, and are eager to make a dent in the world.
Lovable is one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential Companies and has been recognized on the Forbes AI 50 and CNBC Disruptor 50, reflecting our momentum as one of Europe’s fastest-growing AI companies and one of the most ambitious places to build in this next era of software.
The portfolio you'd own
This is a big book from day one. Lovable runs on a fast-growing stack of software, infrastructure and services, and the pace of that hasn't slowed since launch.
10–25 live processes at any given time, and a multi-million dollar value portfolio. Real money, genuinely custom commercial and legal terms, and no dedicated owner today. You’ll get to set the playbook, not inherit someone else's.
Decisions that land in the P&L. These are numbers big enough to matter at company level, which means the gap between an average outcome and a sharp one is visible from the top. Few procurement roles offer this much line of sight from a single negotiation to the financials.
A seat at the biggest tables. You'll work alongside Finance, Legal, EPD and Partnerships on the relationships that matter most to how the company operates, and the mandate grows as the company does — we're scaling fast, and so is what this role owns.
What we’re looking for
You've done this before: tech procurement, strategic sourcing or vendor management, and you know the platforms and benchmarking sources that tell you what "good" looks like for a company our size.
Commercially sharp negotiator: you compare offers, find leverage, and know when to push, when to walk away and when to escalate. You don't only chase a lower number: you reframe the shape of a contract so it works better for both sides. Precise, prepared, calm under pressure.
Technically fluent and financially rigorous: you grasp technical concepts well enough to partner with Product and Engineering, translate requirements into commercial implications, and pressure-test vendor claims. You can also model pricing structures, commitments, credits, discounts, ramps, usage scenarios, renewal options, minimums and overages, and land on a clear recommendation.
Process-minded: you ask where the data should live, what should be standard next time, and what should never again depend on someone remembering. One-off heroics become playbooks.
Fluent enough in product and engineering context: you can sit with a PM or an engineer, understand what a vendor actually powers, and carry that into the commercial conversation.
Data-comfortable and AI-native: messy data from contracts, invoices, billing exports, usage and vendor portals doesn't faze you, and you use AI as leverage by default. Some SQL, scripting or no-code helps. We'll support you here — curiosity matters more than existing skill.
What you’ll do
Run sourcing and vendor negotiations end-to-end: need, market scan, RFP/RFQ, commercial modelling and legal negotiation, recommendation, approval, signature and renewal readiness. The whole process, not one slice of it.
Partner with Finance, Legal, Product and Engineering: FP&A and business owners on demand, Product and Engineering on requirements, Legal on risk and redlines, vendor fit and implementation risk.
Support strategic partnerships and complex deals: non-standard relationships where Lovable may be customer, vendor, partner or infrastructure buyer at once. Partnerships owns the front end; you pick it up at deal economics and carry it to signature.
Turn deal structures into decisions: scenarios, walk-away positions and a crisp memo people can act on.
Enrich the flow and the systems behind it: intake today is close to binary — here's what I want to buy, here are the reviews. Bring in vendor intelligence and deal benchmarking, build up the contract, renewal and SLA data, and evolve intake, approvals and CLM so every agreement lands in the right system with the right metadata.
Automate the parts that shouldn't need judgement: vendor research, contract extraction, renewal alerts, benchmark gathering, approval routing and negotiation prep.
