About Leap
Leap is one of the fastest-growing benefits solutions and a category-defining pioneer in employer specialty pharmacy. We are reshaping how life-changing therapies are delivered and financed, ensuring patients get the treatment they need while employers finally get a fair deal.
Specialty drugs and infusions represent nearly 10% of all healthcare spend and are the fastest-growing cost category for employers. Leap tackles this challenge with a novel approach: eliminating hidden markups, expanding access to high-quality infusion providers, and bringing clarity and fairness to how therapies are priced and paid for.
We’re proud to partner with numerous Fortune 500 companies and leading TPAs. Each patient we serve creates immediate ROI: lower costs, improved access, and better care. Join us as we redefine what’s possible in specialty care.

About the Role
The SVP, Health Plans is the senior operating and strategic leader who partners directly with the Chief Commercial Officer to build, manage, and scale Leap's health plan partner ecosystem.
Beyond owning the development of these relationships, this role helps shape the underlying commercial model itself — working with the CCO and other sales leadership to ensure the partnership structures align to company growth goals.
This is a builder role for a leader ready to run point on health plan strategy, both unblocking and unlocking — and who also wants a seat in shaping how Leap's product offering and model adjusts to fit the need of health plans. The ideal candidate has led payer sales and strategy teams personally, understands how to navigate and create product value for health plans, and is ready to manage and build a high-performing team that will lead the next phase of growth for Leap.
What You’ll Do
Health Plan Strategy
Partner with the CCO and senior leadership to define Leap's commercial health plan strategy, setting the direction for how we approach and structure health plan partnerships
Influence product roadmap decisions to ensure strong product-market fit for health plan audiences
Distinguish between various forms of health plan strategic partnerships and build projection models for expected revenue impact
Develop Ideal Customer Profile targets within health plans and tailor Leap’s sales story and value proposition to each key stakeholder
Sales & Partnership Development
Develop and close high-impact partnership deals, leveraging existing relationships and network to generate new health plan prospects
Lead the day to day execution of growing our national health plan partner network
Partner closely with Employer Sales and Client Success to leverage our position as a client specific network solution into prospective health plan partnerships
Manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles within large, bureaucratic organizations, keeping deals moving and unblocked
Partner Relations & Plan Expansion
Own the unblocking of health plans in order to clear the way for new employer contracts
Work directly with plans to ensure Leap is developing consistent, repeatable, and scalable processes for implementing large employer clients
Serve as the voice of health plan partners to internal teams responsible for improving partner relations by informing product roadmap and go-to-market strategy
Develop expansion strategies within existing health plan partners, and pursue new product initiatives that deepen relationships or open new categories (e.g. Medicare, Fully-Insured, etc)
Team & Cross-Functional Leadership
Directly manage the team of sellers responsible for health plan growth and saturation
Partner with Clinical, Employer Sales, Data & Analytics, and Pharmacy Operations to package Leap's capabilities for health plan and network audiences
Maintain a robust pipeline and provide the CCO with regular reporting on pipeline visibility, partner health and growth, and early signals on distribution or risk
What You Bring
10+ years of experience in health plan sales, partnerships, or strategy roles, with a track record of owning and scaling revenue
Proven success selling into health plans, with deep understanding of payer business models and how decisions get made inside them
Demonstrated ability to think in commercial models, not just accounts — comfortable evaluating tradeoffs across product and pricing concessions, health plan value, and client savings
Experience structuring and negotiating complex partnerships, including embedded and reseller arrangements, contracting, expansion, and performance management
Strong executive presence, with the ability to influence C-level stakeholders and build compelling manufacturer-facing materials
2+ years of people management experience, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams
Strategic thinker with a bias toward execution and results
Bonus Points For
Prior experience in health plan specific commercial roles at a point solution or start-up
Strong relationships within major health plans that can be leveraged from day one
Track record leading high performing teams
