About Jeevy
Jeevy is building a new kind of industrial fabrication company designed to deliver mission-critical hardware faster and more reliably. We combine advanced fabrication capabilities with software, automation, and a growing network of specialized manufacturers to build complex systems for aerospace, energy, data centers, and other critical infrastructure.
We’re looking for a Senior DCS Engineer to own the electrical and controls systems behind these builds.
The Role
As a Senior DCS Engineer at Jeevy, you will lead the development, fabrication, testing, and installation of electrical and controls systems for Jeevy’s mission-critical fabrication projects.
You’ll work directly with mechanical engineers, fabricators, electricians, customers, and field teams to take controls requirements from concept through commissioning. Projects may include process skids, fluid systems, test equipment, ground-support systems, and other complex industrial assemblies.
This is a highly hands-on role. You won’t just produce drawings or write controls code—you’ll be expected to help build, troubleshoot, test, and deploy the systems you design.
What You’ll Do
Lead the electrical and controls planning, install, and testing for industrial fabrication projects
Interface directly with customers to understand controls requirements and resolve technical issues
Develop low- and medium-voltage electrical systems and PLC testing setups
Write installation and testing procedures for instrumentation, sensors, transmitters, control hardware and other electrical components
Develop and modify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, I/O lists, panel layouts, cable schedules, and bills of material
Lead controls commissioning and troubleshooting during shop testing and field installation
Work closely with mechanical, piping, and fabrication teams to ensure electrical systems integrate cleanly into the overall assembly
Establish Jeevy standards for controls architecture, documentation, panel construction, testing, and commissioning
Mentor engineers and technicians as Jeevy expands its electrical and controls capabilities
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience designing, commissioning, or maintaining industrial controls systems
Strong experience with PLC, DCS, instrumentation, and industrial electrical systems
Experience designing and troubleshooting control panels and remote I/O systems
Strong understanding of industrial instrumentation, including pressure, temperature, flow, level, and other process measurements
Experience with industrial communications and controls networks
Ability to read and create electrical schematics, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and wiring documentation
Experience with system checkout, FAT, commissioning, and field troubleshooting
Comfortable working directly with electrical technicians and fabricators on the shop floor
Strong troubleshooting instincts and an ability to work through ambiguous, real-world engineering problems
Ability to take ownership of a system from initial customer requirements through installation and commissioning
Nice to Have
Experience with Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Emerson, Honeywell, or similar controls platforms
Experience with medium-voltage equipment or power distribution
Experience with process skids, oil & gas, chemical processing, aerospace ground systems, energy infrastructure, or other highly engineered industrial equipment
Experience with hazardous-location electrical design and instrumentation
Familiarity with UL 508A, NFPA 70 / NEC, ISA standards, and industrial panel construction practices
Experience integrating VFDs, MCCs, valve actuators, analyzers, safety systems, and packaged equipment
Experience taking systems through customer FAT and final field commissioning
Who You Are
You’re an engineer who likes being close to the hardware.
You can move comfortably between a P&ID, an electrical schematic, a PLC program, and a control panel on the shop floor. When something doesn’t work during commissioning, your instinct is to grab a meter, open the drawings, and figure out why.
You enjoy having broad ownership, moving quickly, and building systems that ultimately have to work in the real world—not just on paper.
Why Jeevy
At Jeevy, you’ll have the opportunity to build the electrical and controls capability of a rapidly growing industrial company from the ground up.
You’ll work on real hardware for demanding customers, own projects from engineering through commissioning, and help establish the systems and standards that will eventually be deployed across Jeevy’s fabrication network.
If you want to build complex industrial systems rather than spend your career designing one small piece of them, we’d like to meet you.
