About the role
Who We Are
Healthcare needs a better rhythm: one that keeps care continuous and deeply human. Heidi is building an AI Care Partner that works alongside clinicians to make that possible.
We’re a team of doctors, engineers, designers, researchers, and creatives building tools that help clinicians stay focused on what matters most: their patients.
In just 18 months, Heidi has given back more than 18 million hours to healthcare professionals — supporting 73 million patient visits in 116 countries. Today, more than two million patient visits each week are powered by Heidi worldwide.
Backed by nearly $100 million in funding, we’re growing in the US, UK, Canada, and Europe, partnering with leading health systems including the NHS, Beth Israel Lahey Health, and Monash Health.
About the Role
We’re looking for an Applied AI Specialist to help healthcare practices turn AI adoption into measurable clinical and operational value. As part of Heidi’s US Applied AI team, you’ll independently manage and grow a portfolio of existing customers within a specialty-focused pod, building trusted relationships with executives, clinicians, and operational leaders.
This is a quota-carrying, consultative deployment and account management role. You’ll understand how each practice works, identify where Heidi’s AI products and agents can help, and build the business case for adoption and expansion. You’ll own the customer relationship through renewal, partnering with Clinical Engineers to translate customer needs into successful implementations.
You’ll bring commercial judgment, product fluency, and the ability to turn ambiguous customer challenges into clear next steps. You’ll take ownership of your portfolio, prioritize work that delivers the greatest value, and know when to involve your manager or specialist partners.
What you'll do
Own and grow customer relationships. Build trusted partnerships across your portfolio, maintaining regular contact and incorporating customer feedback into account plans and deployment decisions.
Drive adoption, expansion, and renewal. Identify opportunities to increase adoption of Heidi’s products and agents, develop additional use cases with customers and Clinical Engineers, and connect recommendations to measurable outcomes.
Translate workflow challenges into practical solutions. Understand clinical and operational needs, define achievable next steps, and build business cases that explain the expected return on investment.
Develop hands-on product fluency. Use Heidi’s products regularly, answer detailed customer questions, troubleshoot common issues independently, and recognize when specialist support is needed.
Partner on implementation. Translate customer needs into clear requirements, coordinate with Clinical Engineers, and keep stakeholders aligned on responsibilities, progress, and risks.
Manage account health. Monitor product and agent adoption, seat utilization, and credit consumption. Address barriers to value and identify opportunities for sustainable growth.
Prioritize and forecast effectively. Focus on the highest-impact opportunities within your portfolio, sequence your work realistically, and maintain accurate account plans, expansion forecasts, and renewal visibility.
Collaborate across teams. Represent customer needs clearly, understand partner teams’ priorities and constraints, discuss trade-offs openly, and give and receive constructive feedback.
What we're looking for
3+ years of experience in a client-facing role, such as management consulting, sales, account management, private equity, or a GTM or operations role at a technology company.
Experience independently managing customer relationships or workstreams, with evidence of delivering measurable business outcomes.
A relationship-led commercial approach, with the initiative to identify growth opportunities and the discipline to follow through.
Strong product intuition and the ability to learn, apply, and explain AI technologies in real customer workflows.
Technical fluency to understand implementation requirements, resolve common product questions, and collaborate effectively with Clinical Engineers.
Experience building business cases that connect product capabilities to customer priorities and measurable value.
Sound judgment in prioritizing your work, moving forward through ambiguity, and seeking guidance or escalating risks at the right time.
Clear communication across clinical, operational, and executive audiences, adapting the level of detail and communication channel to the situation.
Strong cross-functional relationships and an openness to feedback.
Strongly appreciated, but not required
Clinical understanding and experience engaging healthcare professionals.
Healthcare or health tech experience.
Experience with quota ownership, renewals, or seat-based and usage-based commercial models.
The Way We Work
Live Forever — We build for healthcare’s next decade, not next quarter. We set outrageous targets, lead healthcare forward, and follow the evidence — even when it’s uncomfortable.
Practice Ownership — Everyone here carries the company. We raise the bar on hiring and excellence, own the outcome end-to-end, and focus on what matters over process.
Move Fast, Fix Faster — The more we do, the more we learn. We ship atoms daily, learn from every release, and stay precise at pace — Heidi never goes down.
Get Better — The best clinicians teach. So do we. We live in clinicians’ reality, bring warmth to the work, and choose clarity over cleverness.
