ERP Transformation Manager (D365 F&O)

About the role

This is a key seat on a small, high-impact tech team inside Grüns, a fast-growing brand. You'll be the business owner for our move to D365 Finance & Operations: defining what the business actually needs, mapping how work flows end to end, testing until it's right, and making sure the new system improves the way people work, not just what software they log into. You'll partner across Finance, Ops, and Data teams, working shoulder to shoulder with our implementation partners to build the operating backbone we need to keep up with our rapid growth.

This role is part of our remote HQ! We have a fully remote, high-trust work environment - and also come together on a biannual basis for amazing off-sites where we can connect IRL. 

In this role, you will:

• Lead the architecture, design, implementation, and phase 2 rollout of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, aligned to business objectives and industry best practices
• Document end-to-end processes across procure-to-pay, month-end close, order-to-cash, inventory, logistics, and record-to-report, and flag where we should standardize vs. where we need customization
• Design comprehensive solution architectures, including system integrations, data management, and application security
• Run business validation and UAT: design cross-functional test scenarios, execute test scripts, engage subject matter experts to validate outcomes, and don't sign off until it works the way the business needs it to
• Partner with the team to build the implementation plan, track milestones, surface risks and dependencies early, and keep cross-functional teams moving
• Evaluate and recommend D365's built-in AI capabilities and other AI tools to improve efficiency and cut redundant work
• Work hand in hand with our implementation partners so what gets built matches what was designed
• Drive change management: build training, get teams confident on the new system, and go find the workarounds before they become SOP
• Make sure ERP-supported processes hold up to internal controls and company policies
• Push for configuration over customization so we don't build a system we can't upgrade
• Take on special projects tied to operational excellence and growth as they come up

We're looking for someone who:

• Has 7+ years in finance, accounting, or operations, with a deep understanding of business operations and financial processes
• Has 3+ years implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management or equivalent ERP solutions
• Has strong functional and technical knowledge of D365 F&O, with the ability to design solutions across multiple business functions and end-to-end enterprise processes
• Has deep experience across assessment, analysis, business case development, solution envisioning, planning, deployment, and benefits realization
• Can move fluidly between executive-level architecture discussions and hands-on delivery when required
• Has experience in CPG, DTC, or retail operations; supplements or food and beverage is a plus
• Holds Microsoft D365 F&O Financials certifications (preferred)
• Has a bachelor's in Finance, Accounting, Operations, or a related field

Approach to the role:

• You're comfortable with the big picture, but you'd rather be in the test scripts than the steering committee
• You treat process discipline as a feature, not a bureaucracy, and you can sell that to a team that's used to moving fast
• You have a bias to ship. Perfect is the enemy of go-live, but you know which corners can't be cut
• You're fluent in AI tools and use them to speed up documentation, test case generation, and analysis, and you help others do the same
• You document as you go. If it's not written down, it didn't happen
• You're comfortable owning ambiguity and building process where none exists yet

Compensation & Benefits:

At Grüns, we're committed to providing a competitive total compensation package — grounded in market data that considers our size, stage, industry, and location. For this role, the base salary range is $130,000 - $150,000 plus bonus depending on experience, paired with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being and growth of our team.
