About the role
A well-established manufacturing and distribution company is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to support its day-to-day accounting operations. This is a great opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys variety, working closely with leadership, and contributing beyond traditional bookkeeping responsibilities.
The Bookkeeper will manage core accounting activities across AP, AR, general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close. This role is well suited for someone who thrives in a smaller-company environment, enjoys taking ownership, and can comfortably shift between accounting responsibilities and operational projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting, including AP, AR, and general ledger activity
- Perform account reconciliations and support month-end close
- Prepare financial reports and assist with financial and operational analysis
- Maintain accurate accounting records and resolve discrepancies
- Partner with leadership on special projects and process improvements
- Help strengthen accounting procedures and internal controls
- Support additional accounting and operational needs as the business evolves
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Solid general ledger knowledge with experience in AP, AR, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Manufacturing and/or distribution industry experience required
- Small to mid-sized, privately held company experience strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of Excel; ERP experience is a plus
- Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
