We are seeking a Resource Operations Manager based in Des Moines or Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to lead the development of approximately 50 team members. In this unique leadership role, you will combine talent development, strategic workforce planning, and team leadership to help employees grow their careers while ensuring project teams have the talent and resources needed to successfully serve our clients. Partnering closely with Project Managers and Technical Leads, you will shape the member experience, strengthen workforce effectiveness, and foster a collaborative, values-based culture of continuous learning. This role is ideal for someone who is highly collaborative, naturally people-focused, and energized by helping others succeed. Travel of 25-50% is required.

Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the development, engagement, and overall member experience for approximately 50 team members.
- Facilitate member reviews by providing timely feedback, performance coaching, professional development, career advancement opportunities, recognition, and succession planning.
- Provide proactive member communication and support team building and change management activities that foster an intentional culture.
- Identify workforce needs through partnering with Project Managers and Technical Leads on estimating, proposals, staffing decisions, resource conflicts, and member utilization.
- Participate in resource leadership and appropriate client team or project meetings.
- Partner with recruiting to interview, select, and develop offers for new members in alignment with compensation standards.
- Lead new-member integration, including timely access to equipment, workspace, software, training, personal protective equipment, and required safety training.
- Administer compensation and bonus programs consistently.
- Model Foth values through inclusive, ethical, transparent, safety-minded, and accountable leadership while delivering high-quality, timely work.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience leading, coaching, or developing employees while balancing workforce or resource planning responsibilities.
- Ability to build trusted relationships and influence decisions in a matrixed organization.
- Experience providing feedback, navigating performance conversations, resolving conflict, and maintaining confidentiality.
- Experience collaborating across project, technical, recruiting, and Human Resources teams.
- Ability to work from the Des Moines or Cedar Rapids office and travel 25-50% to support other locations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in engineering consulting, professional services, or another project-based environment.
- Experience supporting geographically dispersed employees.
- Experience across the talent lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, compensation, development, succession planning, and engagement.
