About the role
Social Learning Specialist (BCBA) - Hybrid
Company: SenseSational Learning Group, a Finni Health Company
Pay: $85,000 - $90,000 per year
Hiring in the following locations:
Lansing | Okemos | Mason | Charlotte | Eaton Rapids
1:1 sessions change one kid's day. Groups change how a whole community sees each other.
If you've ever watched a child light up because a peer “got” them — really got them, without needing anything explained — you know why this role exists. We're looking for a BCBA who wants to build that experience on purpose, again and again, for kids and families across our community.
SenseSational Learning Group is a BCBA-owned, neurodiversity-affirming ABA practice grounded in play-based, child-led NDBI methods. We're building a SenseSational Learning Group Hub space in Okemos, MI designed specifically for connection — and this role is at the center of it. This is a hybrid clinical + group programming position.
Our Philosophy:
We lead with empathy. Families come first. We believe happy, supported clinicians provide the best care. We won't burn you out with impossible caseloads or rigid protocols. Your creativity and clinical judgment are valued here.
What This Means for You:
Manageable, transparent caseloads — 25 billable hours/week, with role-specific responsibilities layered in deliberately over your first ~6 months (not day one)
Flexible scheduling — full-time and part-time options available
Family-friendly culture (many of us are parents ourselves)
Complimentary CEUs
Technology that works for you: intuitive, in-house platforms for scheduling, BIP writing, and time entry
Continuous mentorship and professional development support
Autonomy to tailor interventions to each client's needs
Competitive benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, and mileage reimbursement
Access to our collaborative Hub for team connection, meetings, and cross-role programming
What You'll Do:
Carry a caseload of 25 billable hours/week, delivering NDBI-based services across home, school, and community settings (caseload expectations ease as your group programming ramps up over your first ~6 months)
Design and facilitate peer social skills groups across age ranges at our Hub
Plan and run monthly community outreach events, creating low-pressure, affirming spaces for connection
Adapt naturalistic, play-based strategies for group and community settings, not just 1:1
Partner with families to reinforce social goals outside the group setting
Help define what a “neurodiversity-affirming social group” should actually look like — you'll have real input on the model, not just the execution
You're a Great Fit If You Have:
Required: BCBA or BCaBA certification in good standing with the BACB
Required: Michigan state licensure
Required: Master's degree in ABA, Psychology, Education, or related field
Experience or strong interest in group facilitation, not just individual programming
Creativity around community-building and event-style programming
Strong foundation in NDBI and natural environment teaching
Genuine enthusiasm for neurodiversity-affirming, peer-based social learning
Compensation: $85,000–$90,000/year (BCBA). BCaBA positions available in accordance with state guidelines; compensation differs from BCBA rates.
