Role Summary
Fanatics Collectibles is seeking a Creative Partnerships Associate, Sketch to own the creative partnership work behind individual Sketch programs from end to end. This position is responsible for artist assignments, the art direction and program requirements each artist works from, and the creative and licensor quality review that holds every card to standard. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for the entertainment and collectibles industry, along with a proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the creative partnership work behind individual Sketch programs end to end, from blank card receipt through the finished, licensor-approved card moving into product.
- Manage the receipt and inventory of blank sketch cards, verifying accuracy against program requirements before cards go to artists.
- Ship blank cards to artists based on tier, tracking each card from artist assignment through completed delivery.
- Manage the budget assigned to each program, with cost accountability for artist tiering and spend within that budget.
- Balance licensor requirements against elevating the collector experience across the vertical.
- Conduct creative and licensor quality review on blank and completed cards, with gatekeeping authority to hold or advance product against standard.
- Communicate the art direction and program requirements each artist works from, and serve as the primary point of contact and decision-maker for artists on assigned programs.
- Partner with Project Management to move approved cards into product, ensuring cards are accurately checked in and received by vendors for pack-out.
- Maintain the artist database for Sketch programs, with accountability for tracking, reporting, and data accuracy.
- Support artist recruitment and retention by building relationships with studios, licensors, and industry contacts.
The Ideal Candidate
- Based in Dallas, TX.
- 3+ years of experience in artist relations, creative production, or project coordination within the entertainment or collectibles industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging effectively with artists and internal stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of art fundamentals, including color theory, artistic mediums, style development, and composition.
- Passionate and knowledgeable about film, comic books, the entertainment industry, pop culture, and sports.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with experience using Airtable, Formstack, or similar platforms.
- Skilled in handling and maintaining sensitive data with confidentiality.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Art, Business, or a related field.
