About the role
Crusoe is on a mission to accelerate the abundance of energy and intelligence. As the only vertically integrated AI infrastructure company built from the ground up, we own and operate each layer of the stack — from electrons to tokens — to power the world's most ambitious AI workloads. When you join Crusoe, you join a team that is building the future, faster.
We're in the midst of the greatest industrial revolution of our time. The demand for AI compute is boundless, and power is a bottleneck. We're solving that — with an energy-first approach that makes AI infrastructure better for the world and faster for the people innovating with AI.
We're looking for problem-solving, opportunity-finding teammates with a sense of urgency, who believe in the scale of our ambition and thrive on a path not fully paved — people who want to grow their careers alongside a team of experts across energy, manufacturing, data center construction, and cloud services.
If you want to do the most meaningful work of your career, help our customers and partners advance their AI strategies, and be part of a high-performing team that believes in each other, come build with us at Crusoe.
About the Role:
You will own and lead Crusoe's IT organization, spanning IT Service Desk, IT Systems Engineering, and Enterprise Technology functions, with direct accountability for the multi-year enterprise systems strategy and technical roadmap. This is a leader-of-leaders role: you will manage a team that includes Director-level direct reports, and you will personally own large-scale,enterprise systems transformations, ERP, supply chain, construction, and manufacturing systems among them, that support Crusoe's vertically-integrated strategy. You will define technology strategy and target-state architecture, make critical build-vs-buy decisions, and drive AI and agentic automation adoption across IT operations at scale.
What You'll Be Working On:
Lead the Service Desk, Systems Engineering, and Enterprise Technology functions, managing direct reports at the Director level
Own large-scale, enterprise systems and ERP transformations, migrating and modernizing platforms across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and CRM
Manage the enterprise systems portfolio, including ERP platforms, CRM, Supply Chain, and other business systems
Define and own the multi-year enterprise technology roadmap, assessing current architecture, forming a clear technical opinion on the target state, and guiding technical teams and business stakeholders toward alignment and execution
Own global IT operations and service delivery, including SLAs, escalation models, and operational metrics
Champion AI adoption across IT operations, leveraging AI to automate workflows, increase team capacity, and reduce manual effort at scale
Oversee identity and access management (directory services, SSO, MFA, role-based access controls) and the complete IT asset management lifecycle
Develop and manage annual IT budgets while owning vendor performance management, ensuring the organization maximizes value from its technology investments and vendor relationships
Direct IT buildouts for new locations, manage onboarding and offboarding processes, and establish governance for change management, access controls, and system reliability
What You'll Bring to the Team:
Direct experience leading a large-scale, brownfield ERP or enterprise systems transformation, migrating off or replacing an existing system rather than a greenfield build, ideally extending beyond core financials into a major module such as manufacturing or supply chain; SAP experience strongly preferred
Proven, personal ownership of both Enterprise Technology and Systems Engineering functions, not adjacent oversight or a peer relationship to one of them
Demonstrated experience managing Director-level direct reports, true leader-of-leaders scope, not first-time or first-line people management
Experience operating in a manufacturing, construction, or data center environment, or in a compliance-regulated environment such as SOX or SOC 2; direct experience supporting a company through IPO readiness is a strong plus
Deep expertise in identity and access management, device management, endpoint platforms, system integrations, and APIs
Strong operational and financial acumen, with experience managing IT budgets, vendor relationships, and build-vs-buy tradeoffs
Executive presence with a proven ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels, communicating technology strategy, risk, and investment tradeoffs credibly to senior leadership
Experience leveraging AI to drive efficiency and automation across IT operations
15+ years of experience across IT operations and enterprise systems, with 8+ years leading multi-function IT or enterprise technology organizations at scale
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience, and the ability to pass a background check
Bonus Points
Experience at an infrastructure, cloud, or AI company, particularly one that builds physical infrastructure at scale
Experience leading technology modernization or transformation initiatives through multiple company milestones, including IPOs or major M&A integrations
Familiarity with hybrid infrastructure environments including public cloud and private cloud
MBA or equivalent business strategy experience
