About the role
About the Role
This is a founding engineering role at an early-stage AI startup building autonomous agents that automate complex processes for industrial enterprises. You will own the full stack, from React frontends to cloud infrastructure to LLM-powered backends, and directly shape both the product and the engineering culture from the ground up.
What You'll Do
Architect and ship end-to-end features, balancing immediate impact with long-term scalability.
Design agentic systems that leverage LLMs for reasoning, document extraction, and enterprise process automation.
Implement AI best practices to ensure autonomous agents operate with precision, security, and industrial-grade reliability.
Own the complete user journey, refining frontends, architecting backend logic, and managing cloud infrastructure as needed.
Build mission-critical, secure, and resilient AI solutions held to the highest standards for data integrity and security.
Identify and fix critical problems outside your immediate scope, from infrastructure bottlenecks to customer friction points.
What We're Looking For
3 or more years building full-stack applications with Python backends and React frontends in production environments.
Practical production experience building and deploying LLM-based agentic systems or AI agents.
Proficiency with Python backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Pydantic, and SQLAlchemy.
Strong TypeScript and React skills for building intuitive interfaces for complex workflows.
Hands-on experience with agentic frameworks such as PydanticAI, Google ADK, LangGraph, or equivalent, plus solid prompt engineering fundamentals.
Experience designing and shipping mission-critical systems with high reliability, security, and data integrity requirements.
A pragmatic, ship-first mindset with comfort using AI coding assistants to accelerate development velocity.
Experience with cloud infrastructure deployment and management for production applications.
Familiarity with LLM observability, evaluation, or monitoring tools is a plus.
Experience integrating with ERP platforms or enterprise supply chain software is a plus.
German language fluency is a strong plus given the core industrial customer base.
Location
This role is based in Berlin, Germany, and requires five days per week in the office. No visa sponsorship is available.
