Position Summary
ANSER is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Federal Business Development Lead to build and close a portfolio of strategic opportunities in an assigned territory. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, you will lead opportunity identification, capture, proposal development, customer engagement, and strategic partnerships to achieve revenue growth objectives.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Achieve qualified pipeline and revenue targets for territory. Own end-to-end business development lifecycle.
- Build a book of business in assigned territories through lead generation, opportunity qualification, pursuit, capture, proposal development, and close.
- Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with corporate growth priorities. Develop account plans and customer engagement strategies aligned with customer missions and ANSER capabilities.
- Build, qualify, and manage a healthy pipeline of federal opportunities. Accurately forecast pipeline in CRM and lead opportunity discussions and gate reviews.
- Shape opportunities through customer engagement, RFIs, white papers, conferences, and other business development activities.
- Partner with capture, proposal, and technical teams to develop competitive solutions, pricing strategies, and win themes.
- Build and maintain relationships with government customers, contracting officials, industry partners, and teammates.
- Analyze market trends, procurement forecasts, competitive activity, and contract vehicle strategies using federal market intelligence tools.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and integrity.
Required Qualifications
- Secret Clearance with ability TS/SCI security clearance
- Education: Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience: in federal government business development, account management, and growth. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
- Proven track record of developing and executing disciplined business development and growth strategies that achieve revenue objectives and exceed performance targets.
- building, managing, and forecasting qualified opportunity pipelines throughout the full business development and capture lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of the federal acquisition process, including FAR-based procurements, RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, IDIQs, GWACs, BPAs, OTAs, and task order competitions.
- Demonstrated experience developing competitive proposals and supporting successful proposal submissions.
- Adept at consultative sales. Experience developing customer, partner, and stakeholder relationships through proactive engagement, needs assessment, and solution alignment.
- Experience collaborating across cross-functional teams and leading, mentoring, and developing business development professionals to achieve shared objectives.
- Proficiency with GovWin, SAM.gov, Salesforce, CRM platforms, and federal market intelligence tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Established relationships within DoD and defense contracting ecosystem.
- Experience developing and winning business with federal civilian, intelligence, or state and local government customers.
- Experience selling professional services and technology-enabled solutions.
