About the role

Ready to do the most impactful work of your career? At Coinbase, we are uncompromising on our mission to increase economic freedom. If you're ready to build the future of finance alongside people who refuse to settle for "good enough," you belong here. Coinbase is a remote-first, but not remote-only company. Expect to get together quarterly for intense in-person working sessions called “surges.” learn more about working at Coinbase.

Coinbase Singapore is building a robust, scalable compliance function in support of our Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) regulatory obligations. As Compliance Manager, you will partner with the Singapore CCO and cross-functional stakeholders across Compliance, Legal, Risk, Product, and Operations to advance our Capital Markets Services (CMS) licensing program and maintain a compliance framework aligned with MAS expectations.

While many roles at Coinbase are remote-first, we are not remote-only. In-person participation may be required throughout the year at team and company-wide events to foster collaboration, connection, and alignment.

  • Own preparation of regulatory submissions, governance materials, and supporting documentation for the CMS application, including coordinating responses to MAS follow-up queries.
  • Draft, update, and maintain Singapore-specific compliance policies, procedures, controls descriptions, and governance documentation aligned with MAS requirements and SFA obligations.
  • Strengthen Coinbase Singapore's AML/CFT, sanctions, and regulatory compliance framework in line with applicable MAS rules, notices, and guidelines.
  • Prepare written materials for senior management, the Board, auditors, and regulators, including governance decks, risk assessments, gap analyses, and regulatory briefing papers.
  • Track regulatory commitments, licensing conditions, and remediation actions from internal reviews, audits, or regulatory feedback, ensuring corrective actions are completed on time.
  • Support regulatory inspections and information requests by organizing documentation, validating evidence, and preparing accurate, concise responses.
  • Lead compliance training and awareness initiatives, maintaining training materials and delivering risk-based training to relevant stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in regulatory compliance and financial crime compliance at a MAS SFA-regulated Singapore entity.

  • Experience drafting compliance policies, procedures, regulatory submissions, governance papers, and formal compliance documentation.
  • Strong program management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and competing deadlines with minimal oversight.
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex regulatory issues into clear written analysis and actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Track record of effective cross-functional collaboration across Compliance, Legal, Product, Operations, and Risk.
