# Process Engineer

**Zeeco** · Mumbai, Maharashtra

Apply: https://jobs.lever.co/zeeco/76ece3b5-6f2e-49c3-b6d0-4be38294cf88

## About Zeeco

With thousands of installations worldwide, Zeeco is the number one choice for combustion and environmental solutions, field services, aftermarket parts, and rental equipment.

## About the role

##### About Zeeco

Zeeco is a global leader in advanced combustion and environmental solutions for the **Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemical, LNG, Power, Pharmaceutical, and Chemical industries**.

Our technologies include **ultra-low emission burners, flare systems, thermal oxidizers, vapor recovery units (VRUs), hazardous waste incineration systems, and other specialized combustion equipment**.

With engineering, manufacturing, and service operations across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, Zeeco delivers technically complex projects for some of the world's leading energy and industrial companies.

##### The Opportunity

Zeeco India is looking for an experienced **Process Engineer with 7–10 years of experience** to join our engineering team.

This role is particularly suited to engineers from an **EPC, Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, LNG, or Heavy Engineering background** who enjoy working on technically challenging projects and want to take their process engineering experience into **specialized combustion and environmental technologies**.

You will be involved across the project lifecycle — from **process design and engineering calculations through detailed engineering, vendor coordination, multidisciplinary reviews, commissioning, and troubleshooting**.

If you have experience developing PFDs/P&IDs, performing process and hydraulic calculations, sizing equipment, participating in HAZOPs, and coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines, this role offers an opportunity to apply those skills to **global, technically demanding projects**.

##### What You Will Do:

##### Process Design & Engineering

- Develop Process Design Basis and execute process engineering activities for customer projects.

- Prepare and review PFDs, P&IDs, Heat & Material Balances, process calculations, and engineering documents.

- Perform line sizing, hydraulic calculations, pressure drop calculations, utility calculations, and equipment sizing.

- Size and select pumps, control valves, separators, tanks, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, skids, and other process equipment.

- Prepare process datasheets, equipment specifications, and technical requisitions.

##### EPC & Multidisciplinary Project Execution

- Work closely with Mechanical, Piping, Instrumentation, Electrical, Civil, and Project Engineering teams to deliver integrated project solutions.

- Review customer specifications, design requirements, and project documents and translate them into practical engineering deliverables.

- Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and project coordination discussions.

- Review vendor documents, drawings, calculations, and technical submissions and provide engineering comments and clarifications.

- Support procurement, fabrication, inspection, and project execution activities from a process engineering perspective.

##### Process Safety & Technical Reviews

- Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL assessments, design reviews, and other process safety activities.

- Support the development and review of relief systems, PSV sizing, flare loads, backpressure calculations, and related process safety requirements.

- Ensure engineering deliverables comply with applicable API, ASME, ANSI, ISO, NFPA, and OSHA PSM requirements.

##### Commissioning & Troubleshooting

- Provide process engineering support during commissioning, start-up, performance testing, and troubleshooting.

- Investigate process-related issues and work with cross-functional teams to identify practical engineering solutions.

- Interface with customers and project teams when technical clarification or site support is required.

##### Technical Expertise We Are Looking For:

You should have hands-on experience with several of the following:

- Heat & Material Balance

- Process design calculations

- Hydraulic calculations

- Line sizing and pressure drop calculations

- Pump and control valve sizing

- Equipment sizing and selection

- Utility consumption calculations

- PFD and P&ID development/review

- Process datasheets and equipment specifications

- Vendor document review

- HAZOP / HAZID / SIL studies

- Relief system and PSV sizing

- Multidisciplinary EPC engineering coordination

##### Engineering Software:

Experience with one or more of the following will be an advantage:

- Aspen HYSYS / Aspen Plus

- Aspen Flare System Analyzer (FSA)

- Flarenet

- PIPE-FLO

- AutoCAD

- Advanced Microsoft Excel

##### Your EPC Experience Could Be a Great Fit:

We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked on **large-scale or technically complex EPC projects** involving:

- Oil & Gas

- Refineries

- Petrochemical plants

- LNG facilities

- Process plants

- Energy projects

- Heavy Engineering

- Process equipment

- Skid/package engineering

Experience with **flare systems, combustion equipment, thermal oxidizers, VRUs, fired heaters, or other process/combustion systems** is an added advantage — but **not mandatory**.

What matters most is your ability to take ownership of process engineering deliverables, perform sound engineering calculations, work across disciplines, and contribute effectively throughout the project lifecycle.

##### Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.

- 7–10 years of relevant process engineering experience.

- Strong preference for candidates from EPC, Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, LNG, Heavy Engineering, Process Equipment, or Energy projects.

- Strong understanding of process engineering fundamentals and industrial process equipment.

- Experience working in multidisciplinary project environments.

- Good technical communication and coordination skills.

**Why Join Zeeco?**

At Zeeco, you will not be limited to routine process engineering deliverables. You will have the opportunity to work on **specialized combustion and environmental technologies**, collaborate with global engineering teams, and contribute to projects serving some of the world's most demanding industrial applications.

**Your EPC experience can be the foundation. Zeeco gives you the opportunity to apply it to a more specialized and globally connected engineering environment.**
