We are looking for a Massachusetts Grade III Wastewater Operator to join our team at the Cohasset Wastewater Treatment Facility. As part of our Operations & Maintenance team, you'll play a key role in ensuring the facility operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with environmental regulations. Every day brings something different, offering opportunities to learn, grow, and advance your career. **Schedule** **Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM** Operators also participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours plant coverage and may occasionally respond to emergency situations or work during inclement weather. **What You'll Do:** As a Wastewater Operator, you'll be involved in the daily operation and maintenance of a 0.45 MGD membrane bioreactor (MBR) wastewater treatment facility and collection system. Responsibilities include: - Conducting daily plant inspections and operational rounds - Monitoring treatment processes and performing process control adjustments - Collecting samples and performing laboratory testing and analysis - Maintaining accurate operational records and reports - Assisting with sludge thickening operations - Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment - Supporting facility, grounds, and collection system maintenance - Following all safety procedures and environmental regulations - Responding to operational issues and emergency situations as needed ##### What We're Looking For - Massachusetts Grade III Wastewater Operator License - At least two years of wastewater treatment operations and maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience - High school diploma or trade school certification - Valid Massachusetts driver's license - Strong communication and teamwork skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Familiarity with wastewater treatment processes, laboratory procedures, recordkeeping, and equipment maintenance ##### Physical Requirements This position involves both indoor and outdoor work in a wastewater treatment environment.
