## About the role

Sunset Children's Dentistry is seeking a **full-time, highly skilled, and motivated Dental Assistant** to join our team! We are a **private pediatric practice** located in the heart of Lexington, committed to providing exceptional care in a warm and welcoming environment.

##### Responsibilities and Requirements

**Responsibilities**

- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.

- Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays).

- Gather and document patients’ medical and dental history.

- Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment.

- Provide clear pre- and post-operative instructions for oral care.

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene (brushing, flossing, etc.).

- Chart treatments and clinical notes in Eaglesoft.

- Perform dental cleanings/prophylaxis, fluoride application, and place sealants.

- Sterilize instruments and maintain clean treatment rooms.

- Support overall office cleanliness and assist with additional tasks as needed.

**Requirements**

- Radiography Certification (Required)

- Nitrous Oxide Certification (Required)

- Previous dental assisting experience (pediatric experience a plus)

- Knowledge of Eaglesoft preferred

- Strong communication and patient-care skills

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Professional, reliable, and team-oriented attitude
