##### Position Overview

The Pediatric Dental Hygienist plays a critical role in promoting oral health and delivering preventive dental care to children. This role focuses on patient education, clinical excellence, and creating a comfortable and engaging experience for pediatric patients.

##### Key Responsibilities

- Perform dental cleanings (prophylaxis) and preventive treatments for pediatric patients

- Conduct oral health assessments and chart conditions for the doctor’s review

- Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants

- Take and review dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with state regulations

- Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene and preventive care

- Help create a positive, calm, and engaging experience for children

- Identify potential oral health concerns and communicate findings to the dentist

- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records

- Support office flow and collaborate with the clinical team

##### Qualifications

- Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice

- CPR/BLS certification required

- Experience working with pediatric patients preferred

- Strong knowledge of preventive dental care and patient education

- Familiarity with dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, etc.) preferred

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
