You know that clean, timely financials are what let a company make good decisions fast, and you take real pride in a close process that runs on rails instead of adrenaline. You're just as energized by digging into unit economics and building a forecast as you are reconciling an account: you don't see "accounting" and "FP&A" as separate jobs, you see them as two halves of the same job, knowing the business cold. In this role, you'll be Vesta's first dedicated finance hire, owning our books end to end while building the financial planning muscle we go through a period of significant growth. If you want the kind of ownership that only exists at this stage, building the function instead of inheriting one, we'd love to meet you. **About the role** - Build and own the financial model. Budget, rolling forecasts, and scenario planning across revenue, headcount, and spend. - Partner cross functionally on budget. Work with department leads on budget to actuals, headcount planning, and spend reviews. - Own the monthly close. Journal entries, reconciliations, accruals: deliver accurate financials on a predictable timeline every month. - Keep us audit ready. Maintain GAAP compliant books and partner with outside accountants and auditors as Vesta scales. - Run AP, AR, and cash operations. Vendor payments, customer invoicing, and day to day cash flow monitoring. - Stand up the systems that scale with us.
