We are not a traditional university, gym, military program, or trade school — we are building a scalable human development institution designed for the future workforce. **The Opportunity** UHP is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker & Instructor to serve as the licensed behavioral health professional on our campus. You'll support the emotional health, psychological safety, and performance readiness of our students, who are primarily veterans in transition. This is a hybrid role that blends clinical judgment, student support, and instruction. It is not an ongoing therapy caseload. You'll be the licensed professional students and staff turn to when a situation calls for one: crisis response, risk assessment, behavioral health support during incidents, and referral to outside care. You'll also teach, help establish the clinical guardrails and escalation pathways that keep our team within scope of practice, and serve as UHP's subject-matter expert on behavioral health. **Key Responsibilities** **Crisis Response & Risk Management** - Respond to student crises and conduct risk and safety assessments within your scope of practice - Support the behavioral health and risk-assessment aspects of student incidents, including conduct, harassment, and safety matters - Partner with program leadership, People, and Security, who retain decision authority for conduct, harassment, and safety investigations - Document incidents and meet mandated reporting requirements per UHP policy and Arkansas law - Coordinate referrals to outside care, including the VA, Vet Centers, and community providers - Coordinate emergency student needs, such as travel home, with program leadership**Student Support & Psychological Safety** - Provide brief one-on-one check-ins and supportive interventions within the learning environment - Help students regulate stress, navigate challenges, and stay engaged in the program - Support conflict resolution and healthy group dynamics - Participate in daily team syncs, student reviews, and After Action Reviews (AARs)**Instruction & Facilitation** - Teach or co-teach modules on emotional regulation, stress management, communication and empathy, values-based decision-making, and mental performance foundations - Lead experiential, hands-on sessions rather than lectures - Model professionalism, presence, and psychological safety in the classroom - Contribute to curriculum development and refinement**Scope of Practice & Program Integration** - Establish clinical guardrails and escalation pathways that keep coaches, instructors, and staff within scope of practice, with clinical and investigative responsibilities clearly delineated - Train faculty and staff to recognize warning signs and escalate appropriately - Provide consultation, support, and referral for UHP team members - Contribute across UHP programs (IHC, CPT, CNC, IGNITE, and leadership tracks) and support campus culture initiatives**Qualifications & Experience** **Required** - Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in Arkansas, or ability to obtain Arkansas licensure before start date - 3–5+ years of post-licensure experience, ideally with veterans or high-stress populations - Direct experience with crisis intervention and risk assessment - Experience teaching, facilitating, or working with adult learners**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities** - Strong foundation in trauma-informed and evidence-based approaches (ACT, MI, mindfulness, NVC, CFT, IFS, etc.) - Sound judgment on the boundaries between coaching, education, and clinical care - High emotional intelligence and the ability to build trust quickly with diverse populations - Comfortable navigating group dynamics and high-intensity environments - Team-oriented, collaborative mindset**Preferred** - Experience with military, veteran, or tactical populations (VA, Vet Centers, Military & Family Life Counseling, or SOF behavioral health programs) - Familiarity with reintegration challenges, sleep, and substance-use considerations - Background in performance psychology, coaching, or group facilitation - National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC), or willingness to obtain**Schedule & Work Environment** **Schedule:** Typically Monday through Friday. Flexibility is required based on program delivery and campus operational needs, including varying start and end times, occasional evenings and weekends, and support of immersive student experiences. **Work Environment:** Fully onsite at 25200 Ranch Road, Gentry, Arkansas 72734.
