## About the role

The VP Finance is responsible for consolidating and managing the Grad Night Service budget.

##### Qualifications

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.

- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or similar software.

- Knowledge of AMS and CUS financial system and infrastructure is an asset.

- Previous budgeting and accounting experience is highly desirable.

##### Main Responsibilities

- Collaborate with the Chair to prepare and manage the allocated budget.

- Serve as the primary point of contact with CUS Finance Commission.

- Manage financial duties including, but not limited to, reimbursements, invoices, and tracking expenditures.

- Work with the VP External to seek additional financial support and process monetary sponsorships.

- Participate in regular executive team meetings and contribute to decision-making.

- Other ad hoc tasks as needed to deliver one of the best experiences to the graduating class.

##### Anticipated Learning Outcomes

- Ability to plan and budget a large-scale event.

- Improved analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Enhanced project management skills through involvement in planning and executing the graduation night.

##### Time Commitment

Approximately 6 hours per week, with an increase to 10 hours during peak planning periods.
