## About the role

The Marketing Associate supports SISA’s branding, promotions, and communications across its social media platforms. Working closely with the Vice Presidents Marketing, the Marketing Associate will help create engaging promotional content for SISA events and initiatives while contributing creative ideas that strengthen SISA’s online presence and community engagement.

##### Responsibilities

- Support the Vice Presidents of Marketing in executing marketing initiatives for SISA’s events and programs.

- Assist the Vice Presidents of Marketing in creating engaging promotional content, including Instagram posts, Stories, Reels, and other marketing materials.

- Write engaging social media captions and assist with writing event descriptions for CUS newsletters.

- Create and edit short-form video content for SISA’s social media platforms.

- Document SISA events through photos and videos.

- Meet with the Vice Presidents of Marketing to brainstorm ideas for event promotion, audience engagement, and SISA’s online presence.

- Stay up to date with relevant social media trends and ensure all content aligns with SISA’s branding, values, and community image.

- Be timely with deadlines and respond to all Slack messages within 24 hours

- Mandatory attendance at all executive meetings and SISA events

- Adhere to the three strike system in case of no show at meetings and/or SISA events without a valid reason

##### Qualifications

- A creative mindset and willingness to contribute new ideas.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Open to learning about diverse cultures

- Competence in Canva and/or other graphic design platforms

- Competence in CapCut, iMovie, Adobe Premiere Pro, or other video editing software is an asset

- Strong attention to detail and visual presentation

- Familiarity with Instagram and current social media trends

- Ability to receive and incorporate feedback

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the Vice Presidents Marketing

- Prior experience in marketing, social media, graphic design, photography, or videography is an asset

- Co-op and exchange candidates must have sufficient availability to fulfill responsibilities consistently
