# Commerce Night Logistics Associate

## About the role

Commerce Night’s Logistics Associate(s) will assist the VP Logistics with executing the logistical aspects of the Awards Night Gala.

##### Time Commitment

First semester: 4-6 hours/week
Second semester (prior to Commerce Night): 8-10 hours/week

##### Term of Employment

October 2026 - March 2027

##### Main Responsibilities

- Assist Commerce Night’s VP Logistics with the following:

Coordinating speakers, entertainment, and performances for Commerce Night gala

- Creating a detailed rundown for the itinerary of Commerce Night, and ensure that it is adhered to on the day of

- Liaising with vendors and the venue’s catering and bar services for the gala

- Coordinating seating arrangements and extending invitations to all guests

- Coordinating the printing of award certificates and plaques

- Supporting vendor coordination for the event within Term 1

- Associates are also expected to:

Attend all Commerce Night GMs and department meetings

- Respond to all Slack communications within 24 hours

- Take ownership of assigned tasks and meet set internal deadlines

- Provide ideas and support for the overall vision and planning of the Commerce Night gala

- Assist with the overall planning and execution of the Group & Individual Awards Information Session and the Awards Night Gala alongside the team

- Participate in Commerce Night boothing activities to promote awards

##### Qualifications

- Intrinsically motivated

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Strong problem solving and time management skills

- Great attention to detail

- Creative and resourceful thinker who can develop innovative solutions

- Previous event planning experience will be considered an asset

##### Anticipated Learning Outcomes

- Gain hands-on experience working with vendors, entertainment, catering, and other external partners

- Experience in decision making and event coordination for a large-scale event with 400+ attendees
