## About the role

**Coho Integrated Solutions** are seeking a qualified **Physical Therapist** to provide comprehensive physical therapy services supporting the 96th Medical Group at Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, develop and implement treatment programs, provide therapeutic interventions, document patient progress, coordinate care with physicians and healthcare personnel, and support patient rehabilitation and wellness.

**Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):**

- Perform a full range of physical therapy services within the scope of clinical privileges granted by the Military Treatment Facility.

- Evaluate patients and develop individualized written treatment programs.

- Provide physical therapy services with inpatient care as the primary responsibility.

- Administer therapeutic and manual exercises to improve and maintain patient function.

- Provide manual therapy and soft tissue mobilization techniques.

- Administer traction when clinically appropriate.

- Instruct, motivate, and assist patients with therapeutic exercises and functional activities.

- Train patients in the appropriate use of assistive and supportive devices, including crutches, canes, and prostheses.

- Support activities of daily living and functional mobility training.

- Document treatments, patient responses, and progress in patient records and approved electronic systems.

- Coordinate treatment and discharge recommendations with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

- Participate in prevention, wellness, education, screening, and positive health behavior activities.

- Provide supervision to Physical Medicine Technicians and participate in peer-review activities.

- Maintain documentation, coding, and patient records in accordance with established MTF standards.

** ****Essential Job Qualifications and Requirements:**

- Citizenship:

U.S. citizenship is required for this contract position

- Education and Licensure:

Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT)

- Graduate of a Physical Therapy program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)

- Current, full, active, and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in a U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.

- BLS certification as required by the contract.

- Required Experience:

- At least 24 months of experience working as a Physical Therapist in an inpatient setting within the last 36 months

- At least 12 months of orthopedic outpatient experience within the last five years

- Required Skill and Competencies:

Strong clinical knowledge of physical therapy evaluation and treatment practices

- Knowledge of therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, mobility training, and rehabilitation techniques

- Ability to develop individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluation

- Strong clinical documentation and communication skills.

- Ability to coordinate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams

- Knowledge of patient privacy, HIPAA, clinical practice guidelines, and applicable MTF standards

- Ability to maintain accurate and timely medical records

- Work Schedule & On-Call Requirements:

Duty hours are scheduled according to department requirements. Standard services are generally provided between 0600 and 1800, Monday through Friday, with a 40-hour workweek. Staggered schedules may be established to support mission requirements

- The Physical Therapist participates in an on-call rotation that includes Saturday and Sunday coverage from 0800–1600 once per month, as well as two federal holidays and two family days per year from 0800–1600

- Physical Requirements:

The employee must be capable of meeting the physical requirements associated with providing physical therapy services and patient care
