In Pakistan, stores struggle to buy inventory. Stores waste hours dealing with dozens of suppliers and wait passively for salesmen to visit their stores. Deliveries are often late, incorrect, or never arrive at all. Stores often learn prices at the point of delivery and cannot compare across different suppliers.

Tajir solves this by offering a one-stop shop for all inventory purchasing with low prices, huge selection, and the convenience of 24/7 ordering with next-day delivery.

Mom-and-pop stores are the arteries of Pakistan's economy. Through empowering them with world class logistics & information tools, Tajir aims to refactor and simplify Pakistan's retail economy.

## About the role

If you enjoy bringing structure to financial operations and want to grow into a leadership role, this position is for you.

As a Finance Executive at Tajir, you’ll manage key processes including monthly close, reconciliations, budgeting, vendor settlements, and reporting. You'll work closely with teams across the business, building the kind of broad exposure most finance careers take years to reach.

You'll strengthen controls and sharpen how we make financial decisions, with real ownership from day one.

Tajir is a new way for stores to buy inventory. Through the Tajir app, stores can order whenever they want, receive on-demand delivery, and choose from the largest selection of products available. Combined with transparent and competitive prices, Tajir takes a process that took a dozen hours every week and reduces it to a few minutes.

For brands, Tajir ensures that products are always reliably stocked at stores. Brands enjoy higher margin sales with zero additional investment.

Since our launch, we became the first company for Pakistan funded by Y Combinator, raised seed capital and further financing from Kleiner Perkins, and — most importantly — have served over 100,000 stores.

Today, Tajir helps stores save money and boost sales. Our vision is to provide every store in Pakistan the essential services it needs to grow.

#### Who we are looking for

- CA Finalist or ACCA.

- Well-versed with the latest amendments in IFRS, IAS, and local tax laws.

- Proficient in using Google Workspace, especially Google Sheets.

- Strong ethical standards and high level of integrity.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

#### What you will do

- Lead the end-to-end monthly close, ensuring timely and accurate management reporting and departmental accounts.

- Review general ledger activity, balance sheet reconciliations, journals, accruals, and classifications, resolving discrepancies before reporting.

- Implement and maintain payment and bookkeeping controls, while driving process improvements and automation.

- Prepare and monitor the monthly cash budget, review variances, and ensure approvals for budget overruns.

- Manage finance aspects of vendor agreements, including incentives, rebates, back margins, and timely settlements.

- Manage other revenue end-to-end, from invoicing and tracking to timely settlement.

- Support statutory audits by managing data requests, documentation, and coordination with the audit team.

- Support leadership with ad-hoc analysis and non-routine projects.
