Syner-G is seeking a Facilities Technician IV with 9-15 years of experience to support the maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and reliability of facility, utility, infrastructure, and building systems within regulated cGMP and commercial environments. This role is responsible for executing preventive, corrective, reactive, and calibration maintenance programs for plant and manufacturing equipment, utilities, instrumentation, and facility infrastructure while ensuring compliance with Good Engineering Practices (GEP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), EH&S requirements, and company procedures. The Facilities Technician IV serves as a technical subject matter expert, operates with minimal supervision, coordinates vendor activities, supports building management systems, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and facility performance.

- Execute preventive, corrective, reactive, and calibration maintenance activities for facility, utility, plant, manufacturing, and building systems in cGMP and non-GMP environments.

- Perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, utility, instrumentation, and facility infrastructure systems.

- Support oversight of plant utility systems, facility infrastructure, and building maintenance programs to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations.

- Operate and monitor the Building Management System (BMS), review system alarms daily, investigate issues, and adjust operating parameters and setpoints as necessary to meet facility requirements.

- Maintain and execute calibration programs for facility and utility instrumentation, including HVAC controls, building utility systems, and associated monitoring devices.

- Plan, schedule, coordinate, track, and perform calibration activities in accordance with approved procedures and established maintenance schedules.

- Perform unscheduled calibration requests, instrument troubleshooting, repairs, and related corrective actions in a timely manner.

- Utilize the Blue Mountain RAM CMMS and work request management systems to initiate, document, track, prioritize, and close maintenance activities, service requests, and corrective actions.

- Ensure all maintenance and calibration activities are documented accurately and remain traceable in accordance with Good Engineering Practices (GEP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), company procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

- Coordinate, manage, and escort third-party vendors and contractors performing work on-site, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and specialty service providers.

- Procure maintenance materials, replacement parts, equipment, and external service support necessary to maintain facility and utility operations.

- Maintain effective escalation processes and communicate significant equipment failures, utility outages, and infrastructure issues to management when required.

- Evaluate equipment, facility infrastructure, and utility systems to identify reliability risks and recommend corrective actions and long-term improvements.

- Define, schedule, and execute corrective measures resulting from preventive maintenance inspections, audits, and facility assessments.

- Provide support for minor facility maintenance activities, including repairs to building systems, lighting, doors, and related infrastructure as directed by facility management.

- Recommend and implement continuous improvements to preventive maintenance programs, calibration processes, safety procedures, equipment reliability initiatives, and operational efficiencies.

- Prepare and report maintenance and calibration metrics to support program effectiveness, reliability performance, compliance requirements, and business objectives.

- Support compliance with EH&S requirements and actively promote safe work practices across all maintenance and facility activities.

- Perform additional duties as assigned.

*Education*

- High school diploma required; technical trade school certifications or equivalent field experience considered.

- Registered apprenticeship, trade license (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pipefitting, wastewater, steam engineering, marine engineering), or equivalent technical training strongly preferred.

*Experience*

- 9-15 years of experience performing facilities maintenance, utilities maintenance, calibration, instrumentation, or infrastructure support within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, manufacturing, or similarly regulated environments.

- Experience supporting facility utility systems, HVAC systems, building infrastructure, and preventive maintenance programs is required.

- Previous experience in a cGMP-regulated environment is strongly preferred.

- Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS), CMMS platforms, and calibration management programs is preferred.

*Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities*

- Strong knowledge of facility maintenance, utility systems, building infrastructure, HVAC systems, instrumentation, and calibration programs within regulated environments.

- Working knowledge of cGMP requirements, Good Engineering Practices (GEP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and EH&S standards.

- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, plumbing, HVAC, and facility-related systems.

- Experience operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting Building Management Systems (BMS) and facility automation controls.

- Proficiency in planning, scheduling, executing, and documenting preventive maintenance and calibration activities.

- Working knowledge of CMMS applications, preferably Blue Mountain RAM or similar maintenance management systems.

- Ability to manage work requests, prioritize maintenance activities, and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.

- Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, and service providers to support facility operations and maintenance programs.

- Strong technical documentation, recordkeeping, and compliance skills with the ability to maintain complete and accurate maintenance records.

- Ability to analyze equipment performance trends, identify reliability concerns, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across facilities, engineering, quality, operations, and external vendor teams.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high level of accountability and attention to detail.

- Strong commitment to safety, quality, customer service, and continuous improvement.

The expected salary range for this position is $40 to $55 hourly. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
